Toronto Blue Jays DFS SPIN
Ross Stripling allowed just a solo homer in 5 2/3 innings of work, but didn't factor into the decision on Saturday against the Rays. Stripling allowed just two hits in the contest, and while he did issue three walks, he was able to fan five and keep the damage to just the one run. That blemish came on a Manuel Margot solo homer, and outside of that, it was an excellent outing for the 31-year-old right-hander. He sees his ERA dip to 4.06, but unfortunately didn't qualify for a win as Toronto gave him just a run of support before he left. Stripling will get a rematch with the Blue Jays on Friday in his final start of the first half.
Tampa Bay Rays DFS Spin
Taylor Walls doubled twice and knocked in two runs Friday as the Rays beat the Blue Jays 7-1. Wander Franco will almost surely prove better than Walls in the end, but to date, Walls has outproduced the fellow rookie while also playing superior defense. Walls is hitting .240/.336/.365 through 110 plate appearances.
Blue Jays vs. Rays Betting Prediction
Vlad Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays are just 41-87 in their last 128 games at Tropicana Field and are 20-42 in their last 62 games versus the Rays overall. The Rays are also 5-0 in their last five games overall, are 5-0 in their last five games versus an opponent with a winning record and are 59-20 in their last 79 games as a home favorite.
