Alex Reyes allowed one run on two hits with one strikeout to take the loss against the Rockies on Sunday. Reyes entered the bottom of the ninth inning in a tie game hoping to send it to extra-innings. He got Brendan Rodgers to ground out, then struck out Ryan McMahon to start start the inning. Joshua Fuentes singled and made it to second on a wild pitch before Elias Diaz walked it off with a base hit. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 5-3 record while going 20-for-20 in save chances. He has an impressive 0.89 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 53 strikeouts over 40 1/3 innings.

Buster Posey is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a left thumb contusion. Posey was hit on the thumb by a foul ball during Sunday night's gam against the Diamondbacks, forcing his early exit in the sixth inning. Fortunately for the Giants -- and for fantasy managers -- the National League's starting catcher in the upcoming All-Star Game was able to avoid significant injury. Giants manager Gabe Kapler said that he won't start on Monday, but may be available off the bench.
Cardinals vs. Giants Betting Prediction
The under is a perfect 4-0 in the Cardinals’ last four games, is 4-0-1 in their last five games coming off a loss and has cashed in five straight St. Louis road games. On the other side, the under is 4-0 in the Giants’ last four games versus a left-handed starter, is 20-6 in their last 26 games for the opener of a series and is 5-2 in their last seven games overall.
