Andrew Heaney allowed five runs over six innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Giants. Heaney did strike out 10 hitters in the start while not walking anyone. He also didn't give up a run after the second inning. Unfortunately, he gave up four in the first which pretty much prevented him from having a solid overall outing even with the double-digit punchouts. Heaney's ERA is now 4.72, and remains one of the most inconsistent pitchers in baseball. It would be a mistake to stream him against the Yankees next week.
New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Jameson Taillon tossed 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball in a win over the Royals on Thursday. Taillon got staked to a comfortable early lead and went into cruise control, scattering five hits and two walks while striking out six and even tying his season-high for innings pitched. The 29-year-old right-hander has been highly unpredictable on a start-to-start basis so far with New York, but there's some intrigue in his peripheral numbers and he could have a better second half in store, assuming he's able to stay healthy and durable. Taillon will bring a 5.18 ERA into his next scheduled outing at home against the Angels.
Angels vs. Yankees Betting Prediction
The over is 9-1 in the Angels’ last 10 road games, is 7-1 in their last eight games as an underdog and is 7-1 in their last eight games as an underdog either home or away. On the other side, the over is 7-0-1 in the Yankees’ last eight games versus a team with a losing record and is 4-1-1 in their last six games as a favorite.
