New York Yankees DFS SPIN

Gerrit Cole yielded two runs in seven innings Tuesday in a no-decision versus the Royals. His one-run lead quickly vanished in the Royals' four-run eighth inning. Cole was again quite effective despite greatly diminished spin rates. He was still able to induce 14 swings and misses as part of a six-strikeout night. He'll face a more difficult assignment with Boston coming up next.

Boston Red Sox DFS Spin

Eduardo Rodriguez was charged with five runs -- three earned -- over six frames Tuesday in the Red Sox' 9-5 extra-innings win over the Rays. The Red Sox made two errors in the bottom of the first inning, leading to a pair of runs. Their offense then stormed back with a five-run third inning, but Rodriguez gave it back when he served up a three-run shot to Wander Franco in the fifth. In fairness to E-Rod, the slider he threw Franco wasn't that bad of a pitch. Rodriguez gets credit for a quality start since two of the runs were unearned, and he struck out seven while walking only one over his six frames. He also induced 15 swinging strikes. Rodriguez will face the Yankees at Fenway this weekend.

Yankees vs. Red Sox Betting Prediction

The Yankees are now 0-6 in their last six meetings with the Red Sox overall and have dropped seven of their last 10 games overall when facing a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. The Red Sox, meanwhile, are 12-3 in their last 15 games versus a right-handed starter, are 20-7 in their last 27 games versus American League East opponents and are 21-10 in their last 31 games as an underdog.
