Arenado, Senzatela lead way

Colorado cruised to an 8-1 victory Tuesday night at Arizona to improve to 38-34 overall and 16-19 on the road. Nolan Arenado paced the Rockies offense as he went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Charlie Blackmon finished 3-for-5 with a double and two runs. Ryan McMahon was 1-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Antonio Senzatela picked up the win as he allowed one earned run on seven hits with five strikeouts and four walks over 6 2/3 innings. Jon Gray starts tonight for Colorado as he comes in with a 6-5 record, 4.38 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 93 strikeouts over 84 1/3 innings.

Marte has three hits in loss

Arizona fell by a count of 8-1 at home Tuesday night against Colorado to drop to 38-36 overall and 14-17 at home. Ketel Marte helped lead the Diamondbacks offense as he went 3-for-4. David Peralta was 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI. Jarrod Dyson went 1-for-5 and scored a run. Merrill Kelly suffered the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and no walks over six innings. Zack Greinke will start tonight for the D-Backs as he comes in with an 8-2 record, 2.65 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with 85 strikeouts over 95 innings.

MLB Betting Trends

Colorado

The Rockies are 8-2 in their last 10 games versus the NL West. Colorado is 4-1 in the last five Gray starts.

Arizona

The Diamondbacks are 7-2 in their last nine Wednesday games. Arizona is 35-16 in the last 51 Greinke home starts.

Prediction:

Greinke has been in great form all season and typically pitches his best at home. While Gray occasionally suffers from bad luck and Coors Field, I still don't see him quite matching up with Greinke today. Expect the Diamondbacks offense to do enough to support their ace here.
