Chad Pinder went 2-for-2 and drove in a run off the bench Wednesday to help the A's come back to beat the Angels 8-4. Pinder came off the bench as a pinch-hitter and singled in a run as part of the Athletics' six-run sixth inning. He remained in and had another single afterwards. The utilityman returned today after suffering a head injury when he was hit by a pitch in Monday's game.
New York Yankees DFS Spin
Gio Urshela went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and three runs scored Thursday as the Yankees beat the Blue Jays 8-4 to complete a three-game sweep. Urshela briefly had a second homer, but the ball was correctly ruled foul on a replay review. It was Urshela's first three-hit game since he had four hits on April 11 against the Rays. His offensive numbers this year are well down from the last two seasons, but he's still been perfectly solid and his defense has remains strong.
