Houston Astros DFS Spin
Jake Odorizzi was pulled after giving up three runs in three innings Thursday in a loss to the Red Sox. Odorizzi gave up a three-run homer to Christian Arroyo in the second inning. He managed a scoreless third afterwards, but only because of some baserunning hijinks from the Red Sox. The Astros pulled him at that point, figuring that it'd be a good day for Christian Javier to go long. Odorizzi was pretty good last week in his first start off the IL, but he's now 0-3 with a 7.16 ERA for the year. He'll have to face the Red Sox again next time out, and that one will be in Boston.
Boston Red Sox DFS Spin
Nathan Eovaldi limited the Yankees to two runs -- one earned -- in six innings Friday in Boston's 5-2 victory. The lone earned run scored on Aaron Judge's homer, just the second long ball allowed by Eovaldi this year. Eovaldi got the win, his seventh in 12 starts this season. It's already the third-most wins he's had in a season; he had 14 and nine in back-to-back years for the Yankees in 2015 and 2016. Eovaldi will face the Astros next time out.
