Alex Verdugo hit a two-run homer on Saturday in a loss to the Yankees. Verdugo took Luis Severino deep for a two-run homer in the third for his first homer of the season. The outfielder also singled and drew a walk, and is getting on base at a .556 clip in these first two games. The former top prospect has shown flashes of brilliance, and it's more than possible that 2022 can be a breakout season.

New York Yankees DFS Spin

Aroldis Chapman didn't allow a run while picking up a save Saturday against the Red Sox. Chapman didn't allow a hit, but did have to face the tying run twice because of a throwing error by Isaiah Kiner-Falefa. The long-time closer was able to get the final two hitters out without trouble, and has his first save of the 2022 season. Chapman should get plenty of chances to help in that category this year.
