Springer suffered a Grade 2 strain of his left oblique around the middle of March, but he's been making swift progress in his rehab and could potentially be ready for activation when first eligible late next week. The 31-year-old outfielder signed a six-year, $150 million free agent contract with the Blue Jays this winter after posting an .899 OPS with 14 home runs, 32 RBI, and 37 runs scored in 51 games last season for the Astros.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Wednesday that Aaron Judge (illness) is ready for Opening Day. Judge battled some allergies in the closing days of camp, but he's in the Bronx now ahead of Thursday's opener against the Blue Jays and is scheduled to participate in a workout on Wednesday afternoon. The 28-year-old slugger had an overall average draft position of 44.9 this spring in Yahoo leagues.
