ARDMORE, PA (ATS Consultants) - The 2013 U.S. Open is this weekend and while Tiger Woods is favored, will an underdog emerge victorious?

This is the second Grand SLam of the Year, which features a short and soggy course that hasn't been used for the U.S. Open since 1981. Last year, Webb Simpson captured the U.S. Open from San Francisco. Last week, Harris English was the surprise winner at the St. Jude Classic to win his first tournament. This week, Tiger Woods is a 5/1 favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv.

Below are our predictions for this weekend's PGA event.

Graeme McDowell 22/1

McDowell won the U.S. Open in 2010 and was co-runner up last year. He's also been victorious in two of his last four events which both took place in Europe. He's the most accurate driver on tour and one of the best putters. He's not a big hitter but that's not a major concern on this year's shorter course.

Brandt Snedeker 28/1

He's been hampered by a rib injury and missed the cut at the Memorial after shooting a second-round 80. However, he's a very accurate driver and has the ability to win this with strong putting.

Longshot

Tim Clark 80/1

The South African is the 2011 Player Championship winner. He's also healthy again and could return to the winner's circle.
