2009 John Deere Classic Odds to Win
The 2009 John Deere Classic from Deere Run takes place this Thursday, July 9 in Silvis, Illinois and Kenny Perry has opened as a favorite to win this year’s event.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL have made Perry an 8/1 favorite to win this year’s John Deere Classic. He’s an easy choice as favorite since he won this event last year and won’t have to go toe to toe with Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson this weekend.
Jonathan Byrd could be a tremendous value at 22.5/1 to win, seeing as how he won the 2007 John Deere Classic. The problem is that Byrd hasn’t played well thus far in 2009. In 14 events this season, he has just two top-10 finishes and 471 points.
Much like Byrd, John Senden offers a decent amount of value at 22.5/1 odds after winning the 2006 John Deere Classic. And unlike Byrd, Senden has had some amount of success this season, racking up four top-10 finishes in 18 events.
Perry, Steve Stricker (10/1), David Toms (15/1), Zach Johnson (15/1) and Lucas Glover (15/1) comprise the top 5 golfers with the best odds. Stricker has six top-10 finishes in 14 events, while Johnson has had five top-10 finishes in 17 events and trails Perry (seven top-10 finishes in 16 events) by only 212 points in the 2009 PGA Tour Regular Season FEDEX Cup Standings.
