Report: Ahman Green and Texans agree to terms

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Texans and free agent running back Ahman Green have reportedly agreed to terms on a contract.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Texans will sign Green to a four-year contract worth $23 million, including $6.5 million in guaranteed money.

The 30-year-old Green has spent the last seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers and last year rushed for 1,059 yards and five touchdowns. He also caught 46 passes for 373 yards and a score.

For his 10-year career with the Seattle Seahawks and Packers, Green has compiled 8,491 rushing yards and 54 touchdowns. He also has 350 receptions for 2,710 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Green, who was drafted by Seattle in the first round of the 1998 draft, will be reunited with Houston offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, who was the head coach of the Packers for five seasons.

Green will join a backfield that includes running backs Wali Lundy, Chris Taylor and Samkon Gado.

The Texans have no where to go but up.

Whats this I'm hearing about Lance Briggs saying he will never play for the Bears again?
