If not for the injury to Indiana's Juwan Morgan, who is listed as doubtful, this would have been a premium play. However, I still think there's a really good chance the Hoosiers win this game outright. Indiana is simply a different team at home than they are on the road. They are 3-0 at home in Big 10 play and nearly had that upset win at home over Duke in non-conference.
The fact that they come in off an ugly 28-point loss on the road to Michigan State is also creating the line value here. Maryland just defeated Minnesota at home by 11, but like Indiana this is a team that has struggled on the road. The Terps are just 1-4 in true road games with the only win being a 92-91 OT win at Illinois, who is the only winless team in the Big Ten at 0-7.
Indiana is 29-14 ATS in their last 43 home games with a line of +3 to -3 and are 17-5 ATS in their last 22 home games after a contest where they failed to cover the spread. Give me the Hoosiers +1!

This is no doubt no one of those head scratching lines. We have a Texas team here that is coming off 35 point beat down by the hands of West Virginia. Iowa St on the other hand is coming off a huge win beating a top 10 then Texas Tech team by 18 points. See why this line is odd?
Simple fact is that you cant trust this Iowa St team on the road. Their last road game they lost @ TCU by 23 and TCU was without their PG. Texas hits a favorable stretch in their schedule that starts tonight by having 4 of 5. I believe Shaka Smart realizes that and has them focused as they need wins period.

One thing you can count on from the Denver Nuggets tonight is that they’ll be highly motivated for a victory. They have lost two straight and six of their last eight games overall. That’s why were are getting them at such a nice value here as only 3-point home favorites.
Conversely, the Portland Trail Blazers come in overvalued off three straight victories. But all three came at home against the likes of Phoenix, Indiana and Dallas, with two of those three being among the worst teams in the NBA.
The Blazers have lost three straight road games. The Nuggets do have a nice home-court advantage this season, going 16-6 in all home games. The Nuggets are 28-12 SU & 25-14-1 ATS in their last 40 home meetings with the Blazers.
The favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. The Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. The Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Bet the Nuggets Monday.

The Hoosiers just aren't the same team as they've been in past seasons here in 2017-2018.
Indiana has really struggled offensively and that won't bode well here against a defense like this Maryland one. The Terps are giving up just 66.9 points per game this season, one of the best marks in the Big 10.
Meanwhile, Indiana is averaging just 73 points per game, as this offense just hasn't had the spark they've had in the past.
Some trends to note. Terrapins are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 Monday games. Terrapins are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

I like the value here with the Jazz as a short road favorite against the Hawks on Monday. Utah comes in off an impressive 125-113 win at home over the Clippers, snapping LA's 6-game winning streak and putting up their second-highest point total of the season.
I think the Jazz are going to be able to ride that momentum and hot shooting to a win over Atlanta. Utah just got back one of their best players in big man Rudy Gobert and his absence has been a big reason for their struggles of late. This is a team that should be a good team to back going forward.
Atlanta comes in tied with the Kings for the worst record in the NBA at 13-32. I'm not sure why the books are giving them so much respect at home. Last time out they were a 2-point favorite at home to the Bulls and lost 97-113.
Adding to all this is a strong system in favor of taking the Jazz. Road favorites off a home win who are a marginal losing team (40% to 49% win pct.) are 25-5 (83%) ATS when matched up against a bad team (25% to 40% win pct.). Take Utah!

1* Portland (9:05 ET): It seems like a formality what teams will finish among the top five in the West (Warriors-Rockets-Spurs-Thunder-T'wolves), though the order (at least among the final three) is probably up for grabs. Similarly, the order as well as the occupants of the Conference's bottom three slots are anybody's guess right now. Four teams will be vying for them - the Pelicans, Blazers, Nuggets and Clippers - and somebody is going to be the "odd team out." Two do battle here tonight in an important matchup.
Portland just swept a three-game homestand, beating the Suns, Pacers and Mavs. They were favored in all three contests, so that end result isn't too surprising, although beating Indiana by double digits was certainly nice. Prior to that, the team did drop three in a row on the road. But you should note that the first 15x the Blazers had been an underdog this season, they covered 11 of those.
Denver is just 1-6-1 ATS its last eight games, a stretch that has seen them lose games outright to the likes of Sacramento, Phoenix and Atlanta. Right now, the Nuggets are the "odd team out" in the Western Conf playoff picture (ninth place). They've split two games w/ the Blazers thus far, both in Portland, and while you'd like to think this is a "get right" game for them, I simply do not see it.
