Grossman collects $1 million bonus in Bears Super Bowl loss

Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman wrapped up $1 million in playoff bonuses in the team's 29-17 Super Bowl loss to Indianapolis Colts according to BLOOMBERG.

Grossman received a $500,000 bonus for playing in at least 70 percent of the offensive plays during the National Football League's title game yesterday in Miami. Two weeks ago, he earned $500,000 for doing the same thing in the National Football Conference championship game.

In the Super Bowl, the 26-year-old Grossman completed 20 of 28 passes for 165 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also fumbled twice, losing one. He took every snap as the Bears quarterback.

The $1 million in bonuses almost double Grossman's base salary of $625,000 this season.
