I'm a little late to the party however there is still value. If Will Fuller (groin, out), Deshaun Watson (back, questionable) and DeAndre Hopkins (illness, questionable) don't play, that's worth a combined 9.5 points to the Texans. The offense will resemble the Pittsburgh offense without their stars. There is a small if: If Kansas City loses, the Texans might decide to play Watson and Hopkins, so as a small hedge, I bet a money line parlay on the Chargers to Houston paying 13-1. But I'm expecting the Chiefs to win and Watson, Hopkins and several defensive players to sit this one out. Take the Titans.

The Browns have had attitude issues in more meaningful games, so count on something to surface here. Cincinnati, with the No. 1 draft pick sewn up, can play to win. QB Andy Dalton, facing an injury-depleted Browns D-line, could be auditioning for his future. The Bengals are expected to take a QB, which would make the veteran expendable.

Drew Lock, considered a placeholder, is making a case as the long-term Broncos QB. They are 3-1 with him starting, the only loss coming at Kansas City. Denver is on an 8-3 ATS roll and, last Sunday’s Oakland win aside, is the superior team.

Euphoria over Green Bay’s smashing win over Minnesota has driven this spread too high. It’s a tough ask to play on the road Monday night and again Sunday afternoon. The Packers’ 21st-ranked offense is not dynamic enough to be spotting so many points. The rivals’ first meeting this season resulted in a mere one-point win by the Pack. And its stifling of the Vikings’ offense requires an asterisk, given that Minnesota was playing without its top two running backs.

Seattle also can improve its playoff seeding but, having failed to cover in its last three outings, is limping toward the finish line.

Mike Evans (hamstring) is on IR and Chris Godwin (hamstring) is likely out. Winston will take too many risks with a second-tier group.

Plus, the Seahawks will do a great job keeping 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo off his game.

Arizona QB Brett Hundley is capable, but he doesn't pose the same threat a healthy Murray would.

QB Robert Griffin III will get an opportunity to prove he can be a starter once again. Plus, Steelers QB Devlin Hodges' confidence level is low because of last week's benching and a rash of turnovers. The Ravens would love to end the season for the Steelers, who need a win and some help to get into the playoffs.

I do think having RB Leonard Fournette makes a difference, but not enough of one in order for Jacksonville to pull off an upset.

What we do know is that the Titans can't afford to let up, as they need a win to get in. They will play tough throughout.

They can be a thorn in the Chiefs' side in this one, but if you remember, Kansas City began to get it right defensively against this Chargers team in Mexico City earlier this season.

This is the most important game in the NFL this year and ironic enough it comes on the final game of the regular season. San Francisco can get the #1 seed with a win and the #5 seed with the loss. It's likely this game is going to mean nothing for the Texans, and with Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins on the injury report, there's no reason to play them in this game. The Titans, who need this win to make the playoffs, have been playing well despite back-to-back losses, outgaining their opponents in each. The Titans offense has been one of the league's best in the second half with Ryan Tannehill at the helm, and they should carve up a Texans defense that has been pretty bad when it actually is going all out to win.

You want to fade double-digit road favorites in Week 17 (2-9 ATS despite being 9-2 straight up), and with the Packers coming off a dominant Monday night win in a game to lock up the division title, we could see them take the foot off the gas a little in this matchup. I certainly don't think the Lions will win, but you can't lay this many points with the Packers considering their underlying stats don't match their 12-3 record. Incredibly, the Packers actually have a negative yards per play differential on the year. This will be lower-scoring game where the Packers win but don't cover.

The premise here is simple: Even in must-have games against bad teams, this is a ton of points to lay on the road. The value here is going to be on the Panthers, even with how poorly they've played. The Saints do struggle against the spread when on the road in these outdoor spots in December, but the key trend to know is this: When a road team is favored by double digits in Week 17, that road favorite is 9-2 straight up but 2-9 against the spread. I certainly expect the Saints to win this game, but I imagine it'll be a lower-scoring game with Carolina staying inside the number.

I was hoping I'd be able to get the Ravens at +3, but it doesn't look like it's going to get that high, so let's take the Ravens here. If Baltimore was going all-out in this game, the line would be at least Ravens -14, and I don't think people would be rushing to bet the Steelers. Is the dropoff from the few starters who will rest to their backups so large that the line should swing all the way to the Steelers being road favorites? I'll answer my question with a question: Do you trust Duck Hodges on the road against one of the league's best defenses? The Ravens backups take care of business and eliminate the Steelers from playoff contention.
