These 2 offenses exploded for 12 runs in the 9th inning alone last night! Oh you hadn't heard?! haha I kid I kid
Much ballyhoo is happening about the bullpen disasters...and while that will certainly help us here today as well...I think what is being overlooked is the Mets can STILL win this series and was great at the plate last night....and that was in a Max started game...today is Anibal Sanchez...a placeholder until playoff starting pitching rotations. Wheeler is better but the Nats offense is so damned hot....Wheeler also handles himself great at the plate and therefore the Mets aren't even throwing up a given out each time through the order!

The Mets may not have what it takes to get this series win after a demoralizing loss....but is it really all that worse, if at all, than a 12-0 beatdown? The Twins absolutely love left handed pitching so they should get out of the gates early as first pitch will be hot and humid with the wind blowing out.These are the top teams in all of baseball at hitting the long ball so this weather is even more favorable for us.Look for both teams to get out to very hot starts.Take the Over.
