However, yesterday Mets starter Noah Syndergaard gave up 0 runs through 6 innings and then the New York bullpen took over. We all saw what happened after that. The point is that this Braves team is a division winner, has won 6 straight games, and yet they are a sizable dog in the +150 range as of early Wednesday morning. Braves starter Sean Newcomb has gone 6 innings in each of his last four road starts and has not allowed more than a single earned run in any of those four outings! Atlanta is 4-0 in those starts. As for the Mets with deGrom on the mound, New York is just 4-10 in his last 14 starts. Great underdog line value here. Wednesday Free Pick: ATLANTA

I'll take my chances here with the Diamondbacks as a home dog with their ace Zack Greinke on the mound. Arizona may have played their way out of the playoffs, but I don't see them laying down for the Dodgers and helping them win the NL West title. The Diamondbacks won 4-3 on Tuesday and this is simply too good a price to pass up on Arizona with Greinke. The guy has a 2.52 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 16 home starts. Arizona has come out on top in 4 of his last 6 starts vs LA and are 20-11 as a home dog over the last two seasons. Give me the Diamondbacks +113!

Oakland may no longer have a shot at the AL West title, but they can still catch the Yankees for the top Wild Card spot, which would give them that Wild Card game at home. I look for the A's to take full advantage of the opportunity in front of them on Wednesday and cash in an easy win on the road against the Mariners.
Seattle will give one last start to veteran Felix Hernandez, who hasn't started in nearly 3 weeks because of a hamstring injury. Hernandez has been awful in 2018, posting a 5.61 ERA and 1.418 WHIP in 27 starts. He's also 0-7 with a 6.14 ERA in his last 10 appearances. In his last 2 starts vs Oakland, he's allowed 8 runs on 9 hits in 11 innings of work.
A's will counter here with Edwin Jackson, who has owned the Mariners in his career. Jackson is 5-0 with a 1.30 ERA in 5 starts. His only outing vs them this season was earlier this month (9/2) and he allowed just 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings of a 8-2 win.
A's are 21-6 in their last 27 off a loss, 13-3 in Jackson's last 16 starts and 40-18 in their last 58 vs a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. Take Oakland!

Wednesday night I will side with the Yankees on the Run Line to make it 3 straight over the Rays.
New York took Monday's meeting, 4-1. They followed with a 9-2 win last night, and a win tonight will put the Yanks that much closer to hosting next Wednesday's Wild Card game against Oakland.
Expect it to happen with Masahiro Tanaka on the hill working against Ryne Stanek.
The Yankees are 10-3 versus the Rays when Tanaka starts, and Tanaka who is unbeaten over his last 4 starts stands at 8-3 for his career against the Rays.
Stanek will get the start, but will only work an inning or two tops.
Right now New York is getting some much-needed offense from 1 through 9 in their lineup, and this one sets up to be another 2 runs or better win for the Bronx Bombers.
Play the Yankees on the Run Line for Wednesday.
