The Dallas Stars have opened the 2018-19 season with three wins in their first four games, after erasing a three-goal deficit in subduing Anaheim 5-3 on Saturday. “It was a character win,” first-year Dallas head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters. “It shows they are playing hard for each other. I just loved how hard they came back. That building was rocking in the second (period).”Dallas hopes to snap a four-game losing streak against the Ottawa Senators tonight, after dropping a pair of OT contests last season. The Senators were thought to be by many, the worst team in the league heading into this season. However, after an easy 5-1 home victory over the Los Angeles Kings last Saturday, the Sens are 2-2-1, giving the team points in three of its first five games.
Alexander Radulov is the fourth player in franchise history to score at least one goal in four straight games to start the season, joining Mike Modano, Dino Ciccarelli and Tim Young. Radulov is second on Dallas with nine points, one behind Tyler Seguin (three goals / seven assists), with captain Jamie Benn (four goals) right behind him with eight and defenseman John Klingberg (three goals) recording five. Rookie Brady Tkachuk, the fourth overall pick in last June’s draft, has registered two goals and three assists in his first three NHL games for the Senators, after missing two due to injury. Ottawa has gotten plenty of production from its defense as Thomas Chabot leads the team with eight points shouldn't be able to beat the Senators here, especially while rookie Maxime Lajoie has collected three goals and three assists.
No reason why the Stars, especially with goalie Ben Bishop between the pipes. Bishop was rested on Saturday in favor of backup Anton Khudobi but will take the ice with a 9-0-4 record (.932 save percentage) against Ottawa in his career. The Senators are a "work in progress," as NINE of the players on the team's roster for Saturday's game, weren't with the team for Game No. 82 last season. Head coach Guy Boucher says the new group is "gelling fast" both on and off the ice. That may be true but "the puck stops" with Bishop. Take the road team.

Monday comp play will be the Packers minus the points at home over the Niners.
San Francisco is just 1-4 both straight up and against the spread, and they play this one off a loss to the previously winless Arizona Cardinals their last time out.
With Jimmy Garopplo sidelined for the season, the 49ers have turned to backup C.J. Beathard and simply put, this is asking too much of Beathard to go on the road and outplay future Hall-of-Famer, Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay was too slow out of the gate last weekend in a loss - division loss at that! - at Detroit, but they do own a profitable 18-9 spread mark as the home favorite their last 27.
The Niners are dealing with a host of injuries, and tonight they will lose touch in this game versus the Packers.

Both Jhoulys Chacin and Walker Buehler were money during the regular season, and Chacin continued his stingy ways by throwing 5 scoreless innings in a win over Colorado last week, but Chacin will have to slow the L.A. bats down on the road tonight.
Back on August 2nd, the Dodgers clobbered Chacin in his lone start against them, and I see them getting enough offense going tonight to aid the Over cause.
Buehler was shaky in his playoff start versus Atlanta last week, allowing 5 to cross.
This one will be a run here, a run there, and by the end of 9, we will be Over the total.
