My Saturday freebie is Seton Hall-Kansas Over the posted total.
I expect the points to add up at Intrust Bank Arena this Saturday night when Seton Hall jumps ball against Kansas.
The Pirates are off a 94-point performance in the opening round, as their game against N.C. State sailed well Over the total. That Over has the Pirates on 9-2 Over run their last 11 games, and they should find an eager partner in running the court and putting the ball in the air in # 1 - Kansas, as the Jayhawks are 6-3-1 Over the total their last 10 games contested, and did wind up putting up 76-points against a plodding Penn outright from the Ivy League.
8 of Seton Hall's last 11 games away from East Orange, New Jersey have also landed Over the total, with the Over also on a money-turning 6-2 run their last 8 non-conference tilts. Throw in a decided 7-1-1 Over trend their last 9 NCAA tournament games, and I suspect you will see a few points get posted up on the scoreboard this Saturday evening.
Seton Hall and Kansas Over the total.
2* SETON HALL-KANSAS OVER

Rematch tonight in Boise, as # 5 - Ohio State faces # 4 - Gonzaga, and BOTH can take a collective deep breath, as BOTH were taxed in their Thursday opening rounds. The Buckeyes were tied at 43-43 at the break against South Dakota State before being able to pull away somewhat in their 81-73 win, but failure as the -8 1/2 point chalk. That was just their 3rd win over their last 6 games, and as good as first-year coach Chris Holtmann had his team playing in January, they really look as if their gas canister is beginning to pin on the "E".
Gonzaga was up 12 early in the second half of their Thursday contest against NC-Greensboro, but needed a dagger 3-ball late to help them seal a 4-point win (no-cover) against the Spartans.
Now to the regular season meeting, as these teams played back on November 23rd in Portland, Oregon, and the 'Zags shredded the Bucks, 86-59 as the -5 point choice. I am under no illusions that we are going to see a repeat of that score line tonight, but Gonzaga does get the benefit of once again playing closer geographically than Ohio State, as there were plenty of Bulldogs backers in the stands at the Taco Bell Arena.
Perhaps asking Mark Few's team to cover double-digit imposts is just a little too much to ask, but in games where the pointspread has been single digits - either the Zags favored or the Zags as the underdog - they have covered 3 straight and 6 of 10 on the season in that price range, including that win over Ohio State.
Going to lay the small wood with the Spokane team.
4* GONZAGA

Play - New Orleans Pelicans (Game 506).
Edges - Pelicans: 11-3 SU and 9-5 ATS last 14 overall games this season… Rockets: 1-9 ATS as a road favorite when coming off a win in this series… With Houston just 4-13 SU and 5-12 ATS in games after facing the L.A. Clippers, we recommend a 1* play on New Orleans. Thank you and good luck as always.
