SCOTT SPREITZER
NCAA-B | Feb 17, 2018
UC-Davis vs. UC-Santa Barbara
UC-Santa Barbara-7½

I'm recommending a play on UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. UC Santa Barbara is undefeated in 11 home games this season and 16-6 ATS overall and already has defeated UC Davis 90-81 on the road on Feb. 8. The Gauchos shot 55.6 percent, including 11 of 20 from 3-point range in the first meeting to overcome 28 points by Davis's T.J. Shorts. UC Davis is playing without its leading scorer, Chima Moneke, who is suspended and the Aggies have lost two of their last three. They come off a triple-overtime win at Cal Poly on Thursday, which means they might not have much left for this matchup at the Thunderdome. Santa Barbara has won eight in a row, including 80-70 at Long Beach State two nights ago with Leland King scoring a team-leading 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. The Gauchos have covered the number 13 of their last 16 against teams with winning records and six of seven following an ATS win. I'm recommending a play on UC Santa Barbara on Saturday afternoon. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

CHIP CHIRIMBES

Michigan State at Northwestern 2:00 ET

Wildcats (+) Over Spartans

I hate this, I mean I hate even considering going against Tom Izzo and Michigan State but we are all away not one goes undefeated against the points. As a matter of fact MSU is a loser ATS on the road going 2-5-1 ATS. on the season. Northwestern losers of their last two of course will be ready for this No. 1 ranked team and will take advantage of their 6-2 ATS in their last eight at home. Looking for friendly whistles and an emotional home crowd to help. Take the WILDCATS!

ERIC SCHROEDER

My free play is on Southern Illinois over Indiana State.

The Salukis roll into this one riding a five-game winning streak against Indiana State, having swept the season series from the Sycamores the last two seasons.

Southern is 24-18 all-time against Indiana State at the Hulman Center and I don't see there being a difference this season.

In the first meeting, on Jan. 24, Aaron Cook scored a career-high 25 points and Southern Illinois held off a late Indiana State rally to win, 82-77.

What I like best about this team is the balance. The Salukis have four players averaging double figures in scoring this season: Armon Fletcher, Sean Lloyd, Kavion Pippen and Cook.

I'll take the road pup in this one, as the Salukis will have too much firepower.

2* SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

CHRIS JORDAN

My free play is on the Xavier Musketeers over the Villanova Wildcats.

This might be the most potent Xavier team we've ever seen step to the hardwood, led by an explosive offense. Sitting at 24-3 overall and in first place at 12-2 in the Big East Conference, the Musketeers are aiming for their 10th straight victory.

Coming into this game, No. 4 Xavier is 9-2 in games between AP Top 25 teams when hosting at Cintas Center - including a perfect 3-0 mark this season. Even further, Xavier is 16-0 at home this season.

Led by senior Trevon Bluiett, who ranks sixth in the league in scoring at 19.6 ppg. He ranks third place on XU's all-time scoring list, and will be motivated for this game, against the third-ranked Wildcats.

1* XAVIER
