Carmine Bianco

San Jose Sharks at Colorado Avalanche
Play: San Jose Sharks -1.5 +147

Monday's Free Play is a puckline play on the Sharks laying 1.5 +147 when they hit the road to face a Avalanche side that sit last overall in the NHL standings and have looked terrible of late. They've got 1-7 in the new year and 1 - 9 their last 10 at home and 7 of those 9 losses were by 2+ goals. The Sharks have won their last 4 and sit 4th in the western conference coming and should get the win tonight by 2+.

Carolina Hurricanes at Washington Capitals
Play: Carolina Hurricanes +175

We see a nice situational spot here with a HUGE underdog in Carolina tonight. Carolina has always played the Capitals tough and they have split the season series so far this year with the Capitals. Losing 4-3 and winning 5-1. Carolina is a better club than their record shows and they have lost 3 in a row against a couple of the best teams in the NHL, twice to Columbus and Pittsburgh. Carolina is 3 points out of a playoff berth and they know they need to play better on the road if they are going to make the playoffs this year. Washington is feeling really good about themselves as they come home off of a 3 game road trip and have won 11 out of their last 12 games. We see Washington a little disinterested tonight as they got home to see the family after a week on the road. The fact that Carolina are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest backs our selection.

TCU at Oklahoma St
Play: TCU +4

Cowboys have been struggling this season, as they lost their first 6 conference games until beating Texas Tech on Saturday. TCU has been more competitive in the Big 12 going 3-4 so far this season. They've been in all 7 games, and we look for a good effort from them tonight.

Quinnipiac +10

The Bobcats have been cashing tickets all season long in the MAAC conference. They are only 5-4 SU, but they are 8-1 ATS in those games, including 6-1 ATS as underdogs. They are playing very good basketball right now, especially on the offensive end. They are lead by two stud freshmen Mikey Dixon & Peter Kiss who have developed into one of the best 1-2 punches in the MAAC. Although they struggle on the defensive end at times, they can fill it up on the offensive end and should have no problem doing so here agains Iona. Iona ranks near the bottom of the conference in nearly every defensive category. These teams played 9 days ago, Quinnipac got the 97-91 OT win on their home floor. Although it will be tough to repeat that result on the road tonight, there is value catching 9.5 with the Bobcats. The backdoor is wide open in this matchup in what should be a high scoring game. The value is with the dog here tonight who have proven to be undervalued by the marketplace, especially in this role.
