Florida State has own four straight but looks to be continuing a performance trend in which it peaks mid-season and regresses a bit the rest of the way. The Hokies are more efficient and solid, and Thursday they should avenge their tough loss to Florida State.

Xavier struggled in the first season of the post-Chris Mack era for the most part. But it came on strong down the stretch, with an improved offense leading the way to wins in six of its last seven. Creighton also surged down the stretch and rides a five-game winning streak. But the Bluejays are traditionally below par on road and neutral courts. Look for Xavier's trademark physicality to be the difference Thursday.

It’s no surprise that Marquette is struggling as of late. The Golden Eagles have lost four straight, including three games in which they were favored. But I don't think that's the best indicator heading into March, and I feel they should be a much bigger favorite against St. John's. Marquette's seeding has dropped in the past month, and the Golden Eagles are in need of an impressive showing to impress the NCAA selection committee. Look for the big stage to inspire Markus Howard to put on another show. Marquette should take this one with no problem at all.

This line is truly a gift. We have an Illinois team that has been so inconsistent this season. The Illini are coming off an emotional overtime victory on Wednesday night. Iowa, which hasn’t played in four days, has failed to cover the spread in its last eight games, which is one reason for the small line. The Hawkeyes should be at least an eight-point favorite especially after throttling Illinois by 24 earlier this year. Take Iowa and run before the line goes up.

There is too much value on George Washington +8 for me to pass up here. The market has plain and simple made this line too high. Yes George Washington played yesterday and yes they went to OT to pull out the win but making this number 8 is insane. George Mason doesn’t deserve to be this big of a favorite over anyone. Yes I realize they just beat George Washington on the final game of the season by 16 points but it was a meaningless season ending game between two also rans in the Conference. That win will just have George Mason looking past George Washington. My numbers have this game as a 1-3 point game either way so I can’t pass up the value grabbing 8 points.

This one fits the same angles as our play this afternoon with George Washington. The market has over reacted to the fact that Illinois had to go to OT last night. I like a team that has a game under their belt and won in a tight game vs a team playing it’s first Tournament game. You can’t get any tighter than OT right? Playing in that kind of game vs a team that hasn’t played yet is a big advantage. Illinois plays with revenge as Iowa not only beat them during the regular season but knocked them out of Tourney last year. Iowa is just 5-12 ATS as a favorite this year. Over the last 2 seasons Iowa is just 2-10 ATS on the road following a loss. This goes to the wire as I have Illinois winning by 1-3.
