National Conference Game of the Year. The Desperados are eager to get back onto the football field after being embarrassed last week against the Soul in a match-up fo undefeated teams. They have owned this series winning eight of the nine lifetime meetings and go for the sweep for straight years. That being said, Big D does it with their defense, as they have yet to reach 60 points in any of their eight games this season. This gives us a perfect set-up for the under, as the oddsmakers have been unable to adjust to the low scoring of Desperado games all season long. The Destroyers have just two victories on the season and in both of those games they scored just 103 points combined. They are coming off a bye week and realize that they must keep the scoring low in order to stay in this game. Play the under and do not worry if Dallas can cover this touchdown spread.

The Blaze enter this game at 0-9 yet another this game around a field goal favorite. As the saying goes, “Somebody must know something” and the oddsmakers are daring you to take the Brigade because they realize Utah is the better play. Utah can score points, as they lead the AFL in total yards and passing yards. Utah’s QB in Joe Germaine and you probably remember his from his Rose Bowl fame back with Ohio State. Did I mention that Kansas City is just 1-7 on the season and tries to win games by running the football. Running and the AFL do not mix and thus the Blaze will get their first victory on the season.

Detroit applies to a decent 55-29 ATS game 1 situation, but the best part of that situation doesn’t apply and my ratings favor the Pistons by 6.2 points, so there isn’t any line value. Orlando split the season series with Detroit at 2 games apiece and the Magic have been good on the road (28-15 straight up and 28-15 ATS). Detroit is certainly the side based on the general situation, but I’ll just lean with Detroit at -7 or less and I’d consider the Pistons a Strong Opinion at -6 or less.

San Antonio’s reputation has kept the pointspread on this game lower than it should be against the upstart Hornets, but New Orleans has been a better team than San Antonio this season. New Orleans split 4 games with San Antonio this season but they out-scored the Spurs by an average of 7 points per game and my ratings favor the Hornets by 5 ½ points. I’ll lean with New Orleans at -4 points or less.","xx

LA DODGERS (Loaiza) Even over COLORADO (DeLaRosa)
The Dodgers erased an early 3-0 lead last night, crushing
the Rockies and staff ace Jeff Francis 11-6, en route to
their 7th straight victory. They extended their record vs.
lefthanders to 7-3 (+$310 with 6.5 runs per game) and
they'll get another opportunity to square off against a
southpaw tonight. The Rockies are reeling right now
(2-9, -$760 last 11) and they've been ineffective vs.
righthanders all year (8-15, -$700). Look for LA to
continue their winning ways for another day.

The Baltimore Orioles will send Daniel Cabrera to the mound this afternoon to take on Jon Garland and the Los Angeles Angeles. Daniel Cabrera is 2-0 with a 4.14 ERA this season and in his last appearance against the White Sox on the road he pitched 6.1 innings and allowed just 2 earned runs in a no decision. The Angels will send Jon Garland and with his 3-3 record and 5.94 earned run average to the mound this afternoon. In his last appearance against Oakland at home he pitched 6 innings and allowed 7 earned runs in a loss. The Angels are one of the leagues best teams with a record of 18-13 for the season. They will be going up against a Baltimore team whom is just 5-6 on the road this season. Jon Garland has not been pitching that great as of late but the Angels offense at home has come to play as of late and we expect a big win this afternoon. Take the Angels to win big today.
