ANALYSIS: Oddsmakers keep giving the Mariners great runline prices (-130 here), and I'll just keep cashing on them -- Seattle is an MLB-best 14-4 on the runline this season. Seattle has one advantage here in that it was off Wednesday and thus will have a full bullpen, and that group has been fantastic this year, while the Red Sox lost Wednesday at home vs. Toronto. Boston hasn't seen Seattle starter Justin Dunn (1-0, 3.72) previously. Sox starter Nick Pivetta (2-0, 3.68) has walked 11 batters in his three starts and couldn't get out of the fourth inning last time out.

ANALYSIS: I generally prefer runline wagering, but I don't see value on that in this matchup and we always like to bet something on the first game of an MLB day -- so Reds on the regular moneyline it is. Cincy gets back outfielder Nick Castellanos after he missed the past two on suspension. Arizona, meanwhile, is sitting a few of its regulars in the getaway day game. The Reds are trying to avoid the sweep and are 6-1 in their last 7 games after losing the first 2 of a series.

ANALYSIS: I love the Blues as home dogs here because the Avalanche are coming out of a COVID break and remain without several key players, led by leading goal-scorer Mikko Rantanen (26 goals, second in NHL), fellow winger Joonas Donskoi (15 goals, 13 assists) and stellar goaltender and Vezina candidate Philipp Grubauer, among a few others.

ANALYSIS: The Flyers' playoff hopes are on life support and may as well be dead, while the Rangers still have a shot but have to close the season very strong for any chance. Philly is just 5-16 in its past 21 as a dog and starts Brian Elliott (11-6-2, 2.93) in net. His GAA is significantly worse on the road this year and is 3.90 in three outings vs. NYR. We recommended against the Blueshirts and Igor Shesterkin on Tuesday at the Islanders, and the Russian wasn't good but he has been better at home. New York is 6-1 in its past seven at Madison Square Garden.

They also haven’t scored more than three goals in the last five games, including two goals scored in four of those games. Take the Jets at home with plus money.

ANALYSIS: We get a rematch of Walker Buehler and Ryan Weathers from the last time around the rotation, but this time the game is in Los Angeles. The Padres were swept in three games while the Dodgers were swept in two games since that series, so both teams seemed to suffer a bit of a letdown post series. However, the Dodgers are 6-0 at home and the Padres are 3-7 against teams over .500 so far this season. Take the Dodgers at home.

ANALYSIS: The Cubs busted out for 16 runs last night, although they had a lot of help with four errors from the Mets and countless other defensive errors. The Cubs have easily the highest OPS in the league in the last seven days after starting as one of the worst teams in terms of OPS in MLB history. The Cubs won the first two games of this series and if there’s one thing we know about the Cubs from the last couple years, it’s that they love playing at home and they’re streaky. Trevor Williams allowed just one run in his last start in five innings and he is 2-1 with a 5.02 ERA. Joey Lucchesi is making his second start of the season, and he only threw 55 pitches in the first outing. Take the value in the Cubs at home.

ANALYSIS: The Yankees are now 6-11 and tied for the worst record in the American League with the fellow underperforming Twins. Domingo German is starting for the Yankees and he is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA while the Indians get Aaron Civale who is 3-0 with a 2.18 ERA this season. The Yankees have scored three runs or fewer in seven of their last eight games, and in that eighth game they scored four runs. The Indians are 8-8 and 4-2 at home, but most importantly I would fade the Yankees until they can show they can score. Take the value in the Tribe at home.
