TAMPA BAY -124
ANALYSIS: Just from a fan standpoint, I'd like Florida to win so we get more hockey in this series but I see no reason to back the Panthers on the road to avoid the sweep. The NHL's highest-scoring team in decades has been held to one goal in each game by Andrei Vasilevskiy. Cats netminder Sergei Bobrovsky simply isn't in his fellow Russian's class. Rare that this is the second of a back-to-back in the playoffs. Florida is 1-4 in its past five as a dog.

COLORADO @ ST. LOUIS | 05/23 | 9:30 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS +1.5
ANALYSIS: My model says the Blues cover the spread in well over 70 percent of the simulations, so you're getting excellent value with them at this number. Yes, St. Louis will be without G Jordan Binnington (lower body) for the rest of the series, but it has two of the top goal scorers of the postseason in captain Ryan O'Reilly and David Perron, who are tied for second in the league with seven apiece. O'Reilly has been held without a tally only twice in seven playoff games. Perron has posted three multi-goal performances this postseason, including one in Game 2 of this series. Take the Blues +1.5 goals at -170.

OAKLAND @ SEATTLE | 05/23 | 9:40 PM EDT
SEATTLE -168
ANALYSIS: Have to say that I'm not loving much on Monday's MLB board -- maybe that changes when lineups are official, etc., but this might be our only pick. I've been reading that M's manager Scott Servais could be a goner if Seattle doesn't turn things around soon. This team should be better than 17-25. It is 9-7 at home. Seattle pitcher Marco Gonzales (2-3, 3.08 ERA) made four starts against Oakland in 2021 going 2-0 with a 3.32 ERA (8 ER, 21.2 IP) with 15 strikeouts and just four walks.

DETROIT @ MINNESOTA | 05/23 | 7:40 PM EDT
MINNESOTA -202
ANALYSIS: These two teams are trending in complete opposite directions, and I just think this is a really bad matchup for the Tigers. The Twins swept the Tigers at home already this season. The Twins are also hitting right now as we saw with their 6 run comeback in the 9th inning yesterday, and that was without Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa in the lineup. Both should be back in the lineup today after getting yesterday off. Beau Brieske hasn’t exactly dazzled to start walking plenty of batters and putting up a 5.13 ERA in five starts. Chris Archer has been giving solid innings and the Twins have everyone available in their bullpen. Either way, the Tigers are the second worst team in the league in wOBA against righties. I think the only way the Tigers win tonight is if it’s a low scoring game, and I don’t see that happening with a healthy Twins lineup. Take the Twins at home to stay hot.

COLORADO @ ST. LOUIS | 05/23 | 9:30 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS 140
ANALYSIS: I honestly thought the Blues had a chance in this series until Jordan Binnington was injured last game and ruled out for the series. Ville Husso is more than talented enough to fill his shoes but he just doesn’t have the playoff experience. I think he is able to steal a game at home here as the Blues have played pretty well overall this series. He has been much better at home throughout the season and the Avs were much worse on the road. As I have mentioned before, the Avs have also yet to make a conference final with this team losing in the second round in three straight seasons. When they lost last season, they were up 2-0 in the series before losing four straight to the Knights. If the Blues can put just a little doubt in the Avs heads, they will pull out this game and make it a series. Take the Blues at home at plus money.

TORONTO @ ST. LOUIS | 05/23 | 7:45 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS -121
ANALYSIS: The Blue Jays struggle against right-handed pitchers and they will face one of the toughest in the league today in Miles Mikolas. He has also been much better at home. Jose Berrios has been hit or miss lately but he has been struggling a lot more on the road. The Cardinals put up 18 runs yesterday and their offense has been ignited by the additions of Juan Yepez, Brendan Donovan and Nolan Gorman. In May, the Cardinals have the 3rd highest wOBA in the league while the Blue Jays have the 3rd lowest. The Cardinals also have a much better bullpen. Pujols and Molina have both pitched now in the past week and Paul Goldschmidt was out yesterday so he should be back in today. This team is having fun right now and they are heading home. I like the Cardinals to get hot.

BALTIMORE @ N.Y. YANKEES | 05/23 | 7:05 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -1.5
ANALYSIS: The last time Jordan Lyles started at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees put up 12 runs, including five homers with three coming from Anthony Rizzo. Yankees ace Gerrit Cole has only allowed six runs over his last five starts. The Yankees also have the second best bullpen ERA at just 3.08. After two terrible games yesterday, the Yankees offense should be dominant against a familiar opponent. Laying the extra run at -145.

N.Y. METS @ SAN FRANCISCO | 05/23 | 9:45 PM EDT
N.Y. METS 125
ANALYSIS: David Peterson has won all three of his starts for New York this season. But more important to me here is the Giants being in a funk. They are riding a four-game losing streak and were just swept at home by San Diego. San Francisco has scored just one run in each of its last two contests. The Mets own an eight-game lead in the National League East and have won five of their last seven. Look for them to continue to roll.

PHILADELPHIA @ ATLANTA | 05/23 | 7:20 PM EDT
PHILADELPHIA -135
ANALYSIS: The Phillies were on a high last week after taking three of four at Dodger Stadium but have now lost five of their last seven contests. They won on Sunday, so they can attempt to start another streak, and I think RHP Zack Wheeler is the perfect starter to keep it going as he’s allowed runs in just one of his last four starts. He’s also won four straight turns against the Braves. Cheap price of about 15 cents. Take Phillies, who have lost five straight in Atlanta, to win.

TORONTO @ ST. LOUIS | 05/23 | 7:45 PM EDT
OVER 7.5
ANALYSIS: Five straight Cardinals games would have cashed the over at 7.5. Unfortunately, Toronto's offense hasn't been hot, but they've managed to play well enough to pick up some low-scoring wins. On the other hand, the Cards offense just scored 18 runs in Pittsburgh yesterday. Jose Berrios has been hit or miss, but still worse on the road. There's no doubt that Miles Mikolas has been excellent, but I still expect Toronto to keep it somewhat competitive. The under has been the move for recent Jays games, but at 7.5, there's value in the over at +105.
