Yankees vs. Mets
Yankees-1½ -137

Yankees vs Mets Free Pick June 10, 2018. The Mets come into Sunday's series finale versus the Yankees riding an eight game losing streak. They have scored just 11 runs in those games, and it doesn't get any easier as they face the Yankees ace tonight. Luis Severino will toe the slab for New York, and the Yankees are 10-0 in his last 10 starts. Severino (9-1, 2.20 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on four hits, striking out 10 in eight innings in a win over Detroit his last time out. He's 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA lifetime against the Mets. The Mets hand the ball to Seth Lugo, who makes a spot start out of the bullpen. Lugo (1-1, 2.04 ERA) pitched three scoreless innings in a 2-1 home loss to the Orioles his last time out. He's going to have to be careful with Giancarlo Stanton, who has homered four times in his last seven games. Stanton is 3-for-7 with a home run lifetime versus Lugo. The Yankees have won five straight in this series, and they covered the runline in each of the last three meetings. Take NYY -1.5. GL,

Brewers vs. Phillies
Brewers-107

The Philadelphia Phillies have had a tough start to the month, losing seven of their first eight games including back-to-back setbacks to the Brew Crew.

I like Milwaukee to keep taking advantage of the reeling Phillies here on Sunday with Brandon Woodruff (2-0, 6.05 ERA) on the mound. Woodruff has bounced between the majors and Triple-A this season, but this looks like a perfect time for him to build some confidence against a Philly side which has scored just 2.8 runs per game over its last eight contests.

Zach Eflin (2-2, 3.74 ERA) will take the ball for the Phillies, and he'll be facing a Brew Crew which has combined for 24 runs and 26 hits in the first two games of the series.

Brewers are 5-0 in Woodruff's last 5 road starts.

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Game #952 Sunday Free Pick Cincinnati Reds Money Line (+) vs St Louis Cardinals @ 1:10 ET - The Reds look primed for an upset in this spot. Early wagering action shows the majority of the wagers coming in on the Cardinals and yet the money line has dropped sharply which means the sharper and bigger money is coming in on Cincinnati in this game. St Louis opened up in the -150 range and is now down in the -120 range. The Reds Anthony DeSclafini struggled early on in his first MLB start since 2016 but he then settled in nicely and I look for him to carry momentum from that into this start. Keep in mind he had some rust and likely some nerves to work off in that first start. The Cardinals Carlos Martinez has been solid in his last two starts versus the Reds but DeSclafini has also been strong in his last two starts versus St Louis. I also like the fact that Cincy will be seeing Martinez for the 3rd time already this season while the Cards haven't seen DeSclafini in two years. In his last two starts Martinez has struggled with command and has a 1.89 WHIP in those two outings! The Cardinals enter this game on a 3-game winning streak and only twice this season (4-game streak and 5-game streak) have the Cards managed to win more than 3 in a row. In other words, decent odds that the St Louis streak ends here. Free Pick CINCINNATI

LARRY NESS
MLB | Jun 10, 2018
Angels vs. Twins
Twins-113

My free play is on the Min Twins at 2:10 ET. The Los Angeles Angels opened the season 13-3 but at the end of April stood at just 16-12. The Angels were just 30-27 on the morning of June 1 but after Ian Kinsler and Albert Pujols each homered in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Twins, the Angels sit 37-28 overall, including to 7-1 in June. Kinsler was batting .178 as recently as May 27 and managed only two HRs to go along with six RBI over his first 39 games after Los Angeles made an offseason trade to acquire him from Detroit. However, he caught fire at the end of last month against his former team and has been a steadying force atop the lineup ever since, hitting .347 with six HRs and 11 RBI in the last 12 contests. Of course, the Angels can always rely on Mike Trout, who is batting .306 with 13 HRs and 39 RBI. The Angels have won six straight and will attempt to tie their longest winning streak of the season and complete a three-game road sweep of the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. The Twins were 7-4 through games played April 15 but lost four contests due to bad weather in that span. Minnesota currently sits 27-34 and today looks to avoid a three-game home sweep, as well as losing for a fifth time in six games.

Sunday's pitching matchup features LA's Nick Tropeano (3-3, 4.35 ERA) up against Minnesota's Fernando Romero (2-2, 3.96 ERA). Los Angeles has the third-best ERA among AL rotations and the best in the league since May 1 (2.61). In fact, the Angels are the only team in baseball to have five starters with an ERA at or below 3.50 this season. Tropeano is not one of those pitchers, after he struggled through his worst outing of the season against Kansas City last Monday, allowing five runs on nine hits and a walk across 4 2/3 innings (Angels would win, 9-6). It was a step back for him, as he had gone 2-1 with a 3.25 ERA in five May starts (team was 3-2) Tropeano allowed three runs in six innings against Minnesota back on May 12 and owns a 2.84 ERA in three career appearances (two starts) against the Twins.

Fernando Romero bounced back from a poor outing on May 30 versus Kansas City (8 ERs allowed in just 1 2/3 innings) with a solid performance in a no-decision Tuesday against Chicago. He allowed just two runs over six innings in a no-decision versus the White So (Twins did win, 4-2). The 23-year-old rookie hasn't won since blanking Toronto and St. Louis in succession to begin his big-league career but he has permitted two runs or fewer in five of his seven starts in his first season (team is 3-4) Romero threw five innings of one-run ball in another no-decision back on May 13 versus the Angels (Twins lost 2-1).

When the Angels signed Shohei Ohtani, he helped make it possible for the Angels to go with a six-man rotation. It was a double-edged sword, as Ohtani was able to pitch on the same rest schedule as he did in Japan and the rest of the starters would get an extra day between outings. Now, with Ohtani landing on the disabled list, the Angels plan to keep using the six-day format, which Tropeano believes has helped him. We'll see. Minnesota's bats have been quiet (Twins have scored a total of eight runs in their last four losses) but Romero gave up just two runs over six innings in his last outing (Tuesday against the White Sox) and pitched well in his first career appearance against the Angels earlier this season, allowing one ER in five innings with six Ks. I say no sweep. Take the Twins.

Your Sunday freebie is the Over in the battle-of-the-birds in the A.L. East.

Baltimore and Toronto have played each of their last 5 this season Under the posted total, and 9 of their last 10 overall have also held Under the total, but today with Alex Cobb and Marco Estrada toeing the rubber, I like the Over.

Cobb's season ERA is a bloated 6.19, while Estrada's stands at 5.29, so it is safe to assume that the base paths will have some regular traffic this afternoon at the Rogers Centre.

The bats have been mostly silent this weekend, but with a couple of yielding starters trying to find their form, look for those bats to wake up in a big way this afternoon.

Play Baltimore and Toronto to go Over the total.

My comp play for Sunday is the Yankees on the Run Line to make it a 3-0 weekend sweep in Queens over the Mets.

New York came from 3-0 down last night with their weakest starting pitcher going, and now tonight they will put their Cy Young candidate on the hill as they get the broom out on the Mets.

Luis Severino continues to add to his resume, as the righty stands at 9-1 with a 2.20 season ERA. The Yankees are 12-1 when he makes the start, and I do not see that mark being jeopardized tonight against a Mets team that has now lost 8 straight on the season, and each of the last 6 in interleague action to their cross-town rivals.

The Yankees are on a 4 game winning streak, and they have won 19 of their last 26 interleague contests heading into this series finale with the Mets.

This one could get ugly.

Yankees to pound the Mets.

My free play for today is on the Chicago Cubs Run Line, over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

IMPORTANT: As you know every single Run Line play and Total wager will automatically list the scheduled starting pitchers at the time of the wager. But with this game I am not concerned with who is pitching for either team tonight and want you playing this game on the Run Line regardless. That said, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure you have action even if one of the pitchers scheduled to start is scratched, by betting the game over again in the event that takes place.

The Cubs appear to be back on track, and are on the verge of repossessing the National League Central. Chicago has won four straight and nine of 11, and is sitting one-half game back of the Milwaukee Brewers, who have split their last 10.

Meanwhile, the Pirates have lost three in a row and eight of 11. The Bucs are 13-18 on the road, and will struggle today.

After being charged by a stellar offensive effort the first couple of months, the Pirates are hitting just .206 this month, ranked 24th in the bigs for June. On the other hand, the Cubs rank ninth in June with a .269 batting average.

Chicago hasn't necessarily been spraying the yard this month, either, as it has only 19 extra basehits - 23rd in the league. The Cubs are getting it done by manufacturing runs by simply getting 90 feet from home and creating from there. The Cubs' ability to win ballgames has become infectious, as they're finding ways to win and stay relevant in the division.

Look for Chicago to roll in this one.

Cardinals vs. Reds
Free Pick on Reds +

I like the value here with Cincinnati as a home dog against the Cardinals on Sunday. St Louis has won a ridiculous 13 straight games over the Reds, including all 9 meetings this season. To say Cincinnati will be out for revenge is an understatement and I like their chances of putting this losing streak to rest.

Despite the fact that they are just 1-6 in their last 7 games, the Reds are scoring enough runs to win games. They just haven't got the pitching to match. Cincinnati is hitting an impressive .302 with a .366 OBP as a team in their last 7 games and have recorded 10 or more hits in 6 straight.

The Cardinals will send out their ace Carlos Martinez, but now is a good time to face him. Martinez had to miss 4 weeks with a lat strain and he was definitely holding back and dealing with some rust in his first start back last Tuesday. Martinez only made it 4 innings after giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks. I think it's going to take at least a couple more starts before he's back in prime form. Look for the Reds offense to carry them to a win in this one. Take Cincinnati!

FREE MLB play Sunday 6-10-18 Seattle @ Tampa Bay 1:10 PM EST

Play On: Seattle -151

The Seattle Mariners travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Rays on Sunday afternoon. Seattle is 40-24 SU overall this year while Tampa Bay comes in with a 29-34 SU overall record on the season. James Paxton is 5-1 with a 2.95 ERA overall this year, 2-0 with a 3.09 ERA on the road this season and 2-0 with a 1.83 ERA his last 3 starts. Paxton is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in his 2 career starts vs Tampa Bay. Seattle is allowing only 4.1 runs per game overall this year, 4.2 runs per game on the road this season, 3.4 runs per game their past 7 games overall and 4.2 runs per game in day games. Tampa Bay is scoring only 4.1 runs per game overall this year, 4 runs per game at home this season, 4 runs per game against left handed starters, 2.9 runs per game past 7 games overall, 4 runs per game in domes and 3.9 runs per game in day games. Seattle is 14-4 overall vs Tampa Bay past 3 years including 5-1 vs Tampa Bay this season. Seattle is 16-6 this year after a loss. Tampa Bay is 1-7 this year when playing in June. We'll recommend a small play on Seattle today! Thanks and good luck, Rocky

10* FREE MLB PICK (Brewers -108)

I'll take my chances here with Milwaukee staying hot at the plate and finishing off the 3-game sweep of the slumping Phillies. The Brewers have completely dominated the first two 2 games of the series. They won 12-4 on Friday and 12-3 on Saturday. Philadelphia has now lost 4 straight and are just 1-7 in their last 8 games. The offense simply isn't producing for the Phillies right now. They have scored 3 or fewer runs in 7 of their last 10 and are hitting just .193 as a team over their last 7. That's why I'm more than willing to gamble here with Milwaukee, despite the fact that they aren't sending out the best of starters. The Brewers will turn to Brandon Woodruff, who has a 8.48 ERA and 1.799 WHIP in 3 starts. As bad as that looks, two of those starts Woodruff allowed just 2 runs. He really just got rocked in one start at Coors Field. Either way I think the offense carries the Brewers to a win. Give me Milwaukee -108!
