Anyone made any plays for the big race yet ?

I have already put a few plays in so I don't lose a nice price simply becuase they qualify well which means nothing at Daytona.

Casey Mears 30/1 @ WSEX

Matt Kenseth 20/1 @ Intertops

Kevin Harvick 15/1 @ SportsBook

Jamie McMurray 45/1 @ BoDog

Mears is my big play for this race and McMurray wouldn't surprise me one bit.

😉

Casey Mears 33/1 @ Sportsinteraction 2 units

Mears moves to one of the better plate programs in Nascar and has had some decent finishes in previous plate races with two top ten finishes in his last two starts. The 25 team has always ran well well at plate tracks and with Darian Grubb coming on as his new crew chief this week I look for big things from Mears this year.

Matt Kenseth 20/1 @ Intertops 1 unit

The 17 car might have been the best car in last years 500 till Tony Stewart ruined the day for Kenseth who still managed a respectable finish in that race with a banged up car.Kenseth looked good last month in testing at Daytona with the 10th best speed and I look for the Rousch cars to be more competitive this year after last years down year and the feud that seems to be brewing between Rousch and Toyota.

Jamie McMurray 45/1 @ BoDog ½ unit

In last years race McMurray had in my opinion the one of the better cars in the race since he seemed to constantly lose the the draft only to get back up front in little time and when he was up front he was as strong as any car on the track.Like his teammate Matt Kenseth McMurrays day was ruined when he got taken out by Kurt Busch. If you look at McMurray's record at Daytona it is a bit misleading since he has had some bad luck due to mechanical failures but if you look at his record when he has been running at the end he has two top ten finishes in his three races. At 45/1 I think McMurray is worth a small play in this race at some very generous odds.

Clint Bowyer 40/1 @ WSEX ½ unit

Just like Mears Clint Bowyer runs for one of the better plate programs out there and if you look at how he has done here you will see he has two top tens in just two starts in a cup car at Daytona but if you look a little deeper you will will see he has done well in the Busch series as well which makes the 45/1 seem like a huge overlay. In the Busch series he has four starts with his worst finish being a 12th place finish in his first start here and has a average finish of 6.5 in his Busch starts against mostly cup drivers who fill most of the field at Daytona.

I will add a few small plays after watching the Duel 125's since I want to watch a few cars and see how they do on the track.

BoDog has the biggest selection of bets of any offshore book for the 500 right now,Oly doesn't even have the 125's up

I don't know what the hell is going on at the Greek and other books. ???
