KANSAS CITY, KS (ATS Consultants) – The 2015 SpongeBob SquarePants 400 is set to take place on Saturday night. Here are some drivers to consider for this race.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kevin Harvick is now a 3/1 favorite to win, while Jimmie Johnson has 6/1 odds and Logano and Brad Keselowski each have 7/1 odds. The SpongeBob SquarePants 400 will take place from Kansas Speedway on Saturday, May 9 at 7:46PM ET.
Kevin Harvick will start sixth tonight and he is the favorite for a reason. Harvick has had a strong record at Kansas, winning once with an average finish of 11.5 at the track. His driver rating here is 100.4. He is the current points leader and has been near the front in almost all races this season. Expect more of the same today.
Kurt Busch has 8/1 odds entering tonight’s race and he will start eighth. Busch has never won at this track, but has a top 5 and is coming off some strong runs in previous weeks. His driver rating at Kansas is 83.7. Busch has been one of the top drivers since serving his brief suspension. Look for him to have another strong run tonight.
Kyle Larson has 15/1 odds tonight. Larson will start from the 10th position in this race. Larson finished 12th in this race a year ago in his debut. He has four top 10s on the year and is coming off his worst outing of the season last week in Talladega, so he should be motivated to have a strong bounce-back effort tonight.
