2012 IRL Odds: Honda Indy Toronto – Will Power Favored

TORONTO, Canada (TheSpread) – The 2012 IRL Season returns to action on Sunday with the running of the Honda Indy Toronto. Here is a look at the odds to win this race.
According to oddsmakers, Will Power is the favorite to win this race, as he has 7/4 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, and Helio Castroneves, who each have 6/1 odds.
Power won this race back in 2010 and in 2007. He is the current points leader by 3 and has three victories on the year. However, Power has finished eighth or worse in the last three races of the season.
Dixon has not won this event but is currently third in the point standings with one victory. He trails Power by 15 points. Dixon has five top 5’s on the year, but has finished outside the top 10 in two of his last three races.
Franchitti was the champion of this race back in 2009 and in 2011. Franchitti is back in eighth in the point standings. He has just one win on the year. He has finished outside the top 10 in his last three races.
Castroneves has one win on the year and is fourth in the point standings. He is 25 points out of first place. He has bounced back from a slow start to the season to make the top 10 in his last two races.
