Oakland Raiders vs San Diego Chargers
Play: Oakland Raiders +10

This spread is way too high for a division rivalry game, especially considering what happened when these teams met in Week 5 with the Raiders taking a 24-3 lead into the fourth quarter and holding on for the double-digit win. Oakland is also 4-0 ATS in its past four trips to San Diego. The Chargers are certainly on a roll, but they have not been able to take advantage of awful pass defenses in the past two years, going 0-7 ATS when facing a team allowing a completion percentage of 64% or worse. San Diego will likely win this game, but not by more than one possession.

Miami has won three straight and covered five in a row.  Ryan Tannehill has completed 64.6 percent for 843 yards with an 8-2 ratio during the win streak.  Miami held Buffalo to 268 total yards in the 23-21 home loss in South Florida to the Bills on October 20th. But the Dolphins are now playing exceptional defense. They have allowed just 18.4 points per game in their last seven after getting touched for 28.5 a contest during a 4-game stretch that ended October 27th.  Bottom line: This team just beat Tom Brady.  I like their chances against Thad Lewis making his first start since October 27th.  Plus Stevie Johnson is out with family issues (Mother passed away).  Buffalo has two wins in their last seven games.  One was against Geno and the Jets and the other was at Jacksonville last week in a game they won turnovers 4-2.  They recently lost to the Falcons in Toronto. That was Atlanta’s only win away from the Georgia Dome in seven tries.  I like the fact Mike Wallace is getting involved in the Miami offense right now.  The former Steeler has three touchdowns in his last four games and had six catches for 105 yards against the Pats.  Miami controls there own destiny. Wins against Buffalo here and the Jets next week and the Dolphins are in the playoffs.  I think this team is fairly tough and resilient.  I just don’t see how Buffalo can beat Miami twice in the same-season.  Buffalo is 0-8 ATS following their last eight straight-up wins and they beat the Jaguars last week.  A warm weather team like Miami can deal with December rain.  There’s an 80 percent chance of wet stuff with the temperature at 47 degrees.  That isn’t too shabby for Buffalo in late December.  Miami has defeated New England, Indy, and Cincinnati. All three of those teams lead their divisions.  The only thing that bothers me here is Buffalo is #1 in the NFL in sacks with 49.  Tannehill has a 12-9 ratio on the road compared to 11-5 at home.  But what bothers me is he’s taken 51 sacks.  That’s really high.  The Dolphins will have to run to cover this price and spot. But they are capable considering Buffalo has allowed 149-yards a game on the ground on average in their last five.
