NHL Odds and Betting Guide - Division Leaders Canadiens, Hurricanes Meet
By: The Linemakers
Sportingnews.com

A pair of division leaders meet in Raleigh tonight, as the Northeast-leading Canadiens visit the first-place Hurricanes of the Southeast. The Hurricanes come in on a four-game win streak and managed to win their first game without starter Cam Ward. Third-string goalie Justin Peters, who made one of the best saves of the year in that start, appears likely to be in net again tonight. Carolina is a slight favorite at the LVH, though the game is essentially a pick' em at some books.

The Northeast Division offers another high-profile matchup Thursday, as the Maple Leafs visit the Bruins, trailing Boston by one point in the standings. The Leafs come in as winners of three straight, while the Bruins dropped their last game in overtime to Washington. The Bruins are a large favorite in this one, despite not starting No.1 goalie Tuukka Rask tonight.

There are 11 games on a busy Thursday night in the NHL. The Atlantic Division is especially active, with all five teams on the ice and two rivalry games on tap — Islanders at Rangers, and Penguins at Flyers.
