Bucs reach agreement with Garcia

Jake Plummer might not want to play in Tampa Bay, but there is a veteran quarterback who does.
The Bucs reached an agreement with former Pro Bowler Jeff Garcia on Saturday, providing the team with much-needed quarterback depth with Chris Simms' status still in doubt.
The agreement is for a two-year deal that could be worth as much as $11 million, sources told FOXSports.com. It is a similar deal to what the Bucs gave Simms.
The acquisition of Garcia could signal the impending retirement of Plummer. Plummer on Friday reportedly balked at a trade from Denver to Tampa, and intimated that he would retire rather than accept that trade.
Garcia led the Eagles to the NFC East title last season after starter Donovan McNabb went down for the season with an injury.
