Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Spin
Devlin Hodges completed 11-of-17 passes for 84 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions while adding one carry for no gain Sunday in the Steelers’ Week 16 loss to the Jets. Hodges was benched after throwing a horrendous interception—his second in a span of three drives—in the second quarter, but returned after Mason Rudolph was lost to a second-half shoulder injury. The rookie appeared gun-shy upon his return, holding the ball too long while showing a reluctance to throw downfield. Hodges couldn't lead the Steelers to fourth-quarter glory, throwing up a prayer to JuJu Smith-Schuster on fourth-and-seven after fumbling the snap. That misfire sealed the Steelers' Week 16 fate while also complicating their path to the postseason. They'll need a win and a Titans loss next week to clinch the AFC's final Wild Card spot. Luckily the Steelers will likely face Baltimore's backups as the Ravens were able to clinch home-field advantage with Sunday's win at Cleveland
Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Spin
Coach John Harbaugh said that Lamar Jackson, Earl Thomas, Marshal Yanda and Brandon Williams won't play Week 17 against the Steelers. Harbaugh added that Mark Ingram has a mild to moderate calf strain and also won't play. There's no reason for the Ravens to expose Jackson and company to any more unnecessary hits with the No. 1 seed already locked up. Robert Griffin will be joined in the backfield by Gus Edwards and Justice Hill
Pittsburgh
The under is 4-1 in the Steelers’ last five games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
Baltimore
The under is 6-2 in the Ravens’ last eight games following a straight up win of more than 14 points.
NFL Week 17 Prediction
The under is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings in Baltimore and given how poorly the Steelers’ offense has played over the past month, I love the under again on Sunday. The under is 5-2 in the Ravens’ last seven games played in December, is 9-4 in their last 13 games as a home underdog and is 5-2 in their last seven home games versus an opponent with a winning road record. On the other side, the under is 39-12 in the Steelers’ last 51 road games, is 19-7 in their last 26 games overall and is 22-4 in their last 26 games when they’re a road favorite.
