Texans vs. Titans Free Pick
The Texans are banged up but are still in possession of first place in the AFC South. They'll try to keep their standing within the division with a win today over the Titans.
Houston hoped to have starting quarterback Brian Hoyer back today but he'll miss another week due to a concussion. Brandon Weeden is now set to make his first start for the Texans after taking over for T.J. Yates last Sunday in Indianapolis after Yates suffered an ACL injury.
No matter who winds up starting for the Texans, they'll rely on their defense to slow down Zach Mettenberger, who will draw the start with Marcus Mariota (knee) out. Houston is allowing just 189.5 passing yards per game since Week 8 and Mettenberger will likely struggle today versus the Texans' stout defense.
With the quarterbacks banged up on both sides, there's plenty of value in the under for today's 1:00PM ET kickoff. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the over/under is sitting at 40.5 points after the number opened at 42. Wiseguys have already driven the number down, so jump on the under now before it gets any lower.
