Cleveland Browns Fantasy Spin
Baker Mayfield completed 20-of-33 passes for 192 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Browns' 31-15, Week 16 loss to the Ravens. Mayfield, as has been the case all season, struggled to consistently move the ball through the air. While he flashed his live arm and pin-point accuracy at times, it was largely another porous effort as a whole. Jarvis Landry (7-74-0) and Odell Beckham (4-44-1) were the only pass-game options that managed to get much of anything going. Mayfield has largely worked as a bottom-tier QB all season and will need to improve his pocket awareness to rebound in 2020. Of course, a better offensive line and healthier WRs would certainly help matters for everyone involved.
Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy Spin
Andy Dalton completed 33-of-56 passes for 396 yards and four touchdowns in the Bengals' Week 16 overtime loss to the Dolphins. The Bengals needed three fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a 25-yarder with no time remaining, an onside kick recovery, and a two-point conversion to force this game into overtime after trailing 35-12 with 11 minutes remaining. Dalton was absolutely dealing during this stretch, but the offense went stagnant in overtime and had to punt the ball twice, ultimately losing the game on a last-second field goal. This was a win-win for the Bengals as they played an exciting game but also lost to guarantee the 2020 No. 1 overall pick. They'll close the year out against the Browns, but they are officially on the clock with QB Joe Burrow (or DE Chase Young) being the likely selection.
Cleveland
The under is 42-20-2 in the Browns’ last 64 games after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game.
Cincinnati
The under is 10-3-2 in the Bengals’ last 15 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
NFL Week 17 Prediction
The over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams at Paul Brown Stadium and is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings overall. The over is also 5-1 in the Bengals’ last six games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game and has cashed in four out of their last five games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous contest. On the other side, the over is 4-0 in the Browns’ last four games when facing an opponent with a losing record and is 4-1 in their last five road games when facing an opponent with a losing home record.
