Broncos vs. Raiders Total Prediction
The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders will play Christmas Eve night in a matchup that has zero playoff implications. With the total sitting at 43, is the over a good play in this divisional matchup?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Broncos are 3-point favorites to beat the Raiders. The total, meanwhile, sits at 43 points. As of this writing, 59% of the public betting tickets are on the Broncos to cover the point spread.
Denver Broncos
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Broncos coach Vance Joseph will be a candidate for the Bengals' defensive coordinator job if he gets fired. Joseph is expected to be fired after the season. It won't be surprising if he resurfaces with the Bengals, who have an opening at defensive coordinator. Similar to Hue Jackson, Joseph could take over as an in-house sucessor whenever Marvin Lewis moves into an upper-management role. The Broncos defense took a step back due to injuries this season, but ranked near the top of the league under Joseph in 2017.
Oakland Raiders
Raiders RG Gabe Jackson (injured reserve) played much of the season with a torn pectorals. Jackson then fractured his elbow and tried to keep playing but couldn't do it. An iron man, Jackson had missed just one game the previous three seasons before going on I.R. earlier this week. Jackson is signed for four more years.
NFL Betting Trends
Denver
The Broncos are 8-17-1 against the spread in their last 26 games overall and are just 2-6 against the number in their last eight divisional games.
Oakland
The Raiders are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games overall and just 2-5 ATS in their last seven conference mathups.
Prediction
The under is a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams, has cashed in six of the Raiders’ last seven divisional games and is 8-3 in their last 11 home games. On the other side, the under is 12-3-1 in the Broncos’ last 16 conference tilts, is 15-5-1 in their last 21 games overall and is 12-3 in their last 15 games versus a team with a losing record. With this game being meaningless for both teams as far as playoffs are concerned, this is a run out the clock situation and thus, I like the under.
NFL Week 16 Prediction: Broncos/Raiders under 43
