Green Bay Packers Fantasy Spin
Aaron Jones rushed 13 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 21-13, Week 15 win over the Bears. Jones had six carries for 16 scoreless yards at halftime, but he scored the Packers' two touchdowns after the break, capping the opening third-quarter drive with a 21-yard scamper before later scoring again from two yards out in the same quarter. Green Bay did nothing over the final 22-ish minutes of the game and barely survived a final effort by Chicago. Jones wasn't targeted in the passing game Sunday. He has 13 or fewer carries in eight of the last nine games. And this was his third catch-less game in the last five. Jones will be an RB2 in a tough spot next week at the Vikings.
Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Spin
Dalvin Cook (shoulder) won't play for Week 16 against the Packers. His status for Week 17 is also in doubt. Alexander Mattison (ankle, questionable) squeezed in a limited session on Saturday but is still considered second fiddle to Mike Boone, who projects to handle the lion's share of touches on Monday night. After storming the Chargers for 13/56/2 off the bench once Cook left early last week, Boone undoubtedly slides in as a touch-based RB2 for Championship Week against Green Bay.
Green Bay
The Packers are 13-6-1 against the spread in their last 20 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.
Minnesota
The Vikings are just 3-9 against the number in their last 12 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous contest.
NFL Week 16 Prediction
The home team is 6-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams, while the Packers are just 1-4 at the betting window in their last five road games versus the Vikings. Despite most of the action being on Green Bay, the line has actually climbed from Minnesota -4 to -5, indicating sharp action on the Vikings. Despite not having Cook or Alexander Mattison, the Vikes are still favored by nearly a touchdown. Doesn’t make sense, but this is one of those potential “trap games” in which you fade conventional wisdom. The Vikings are 36-15-1 against the spread in their last 52 home games and are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite.
