Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 21-of-37 passes for 245 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception in the Dolphins' 22-21, Week 14 loss to the Jets, adding eight carries for 65 additional yards. Fitzpatrick lost DeVante Parker to a first half concussion, leaving him essentially without weapons. To make matters worse, 2019 bust Albert Wilson departed with a second half head injury of his own. Fitz compensated by playing school-lot ball, running with reckless abandon, at one point lateraling to Clive Walford. Isaiah Ford ended up as his No. 1 receiver. It would not be enough in a game where the Dolphins tallied up an absurd seven field goals but zero touchdowns. Fitz will need Parker to be healthy to be a realistic QB2 for next week's juicy matchup with the Giants.

New York Giants Fantasy Spin

ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports Daniel Jones (ankle) is expected to miss Week 15 against the Dolphins. Jones resumed practicing but will need at least another week to recover from his high-ankle sprain. Eli Manning will draw another start in his absence, playing at MetLife Stadium for perhaps the final time in his storied career. A win Sunday would push Manning's lifetime record back to .500 (currently 116-117).

The over is 4-1 in the Dolphins’ last five road games versus a team with a losing home record and has cashed in five of their last six games after they accumulated more than 350 total yards in their previous contest.

New York

The over is 5-2 in the Giants’ last seven games in December and is 7-3 in their last 10 games coming off an ATS win.

Prediction

The wind is expected to be nearly 13 mph this Sunday at MetLife Stadium and that’ll impact the passing games of both teams. Not that either team is necessarily effective when it comes to moving the ball through the air. Eli Manning made some big plays in the first half against the Eagles on Monday night, but then struggled in the second. While both Miami and New York have struggled defensively this season, I think this total is too high, which is why the number has dropped nearly two full points. I’ll take the risk that these two defenses won’t get shredded and fade both offenses.
