49ers vs. Broncos Spread Prediction
The Denver Broncos have jumped back into the wild card mix in the AFC with a string of recent wins but they’re also banged-up ahead of Sunday’s tilt with the San Francisco 49ers at 4:05 p.m. ET. Will the Niners at least cover the spread as a small home underdog?
Game Snapshot
123 Denver Broncos at 124 San Francisco 49ers

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Broncos are 3.5-point favorites to beat the 49ers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 45 points. As of this writing, 73% of the public betting tickets are on the Broncos to cover the point spread.
Denver Broncos
The Denver Post expects fourth-round WR DaeSean Hamilton to be "featured in the slot" following Emmanuel Sanders' season-ending injury. Hamilton missed time earlier this season with a sprained MCL, but he returned a few weeks ago and played the most snaps of his career against the Bengals on Sunday. The logical replacement for Sanders, Hamilton should serve as the No. 2 option in the passing game behind fellow rookie Courtland Sutton the rest of the way. He is a name to know in deeper fantasy leagues.
San Francisco 49ers
Pierre Garcon (knee) is out for Week 14 against the Broncos. The Niners will start Marquise Goodwin, Dante Pettis, and Kendrick Bourne in three-wide sets. Rookie Jeff Wilson will also start in place of Matt Breida (ankle, out). Although Goodwin will be back on the field for the first time since Week 10, Pettis remains a high-floor option given his peppering of shallow targets over the middle of the field. He's a safe WR3, whereas Goodwin remains a boom-or-bust option.
NFL Betting Trends
Denver
The Broncos are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall and are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games.
San Francisco
The 49ers have dropped four of their last five games against the spread as the home team and are 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Prediction
The Broncos are attempting to salvage their season and perhaps, save their head coach’s job. With wins over the Chargers, Steelers and Bengals, they look like they play today as a small road favorite against a 49ers team that has struggled mightily in recent weeks. So why is Denver only laying 3.5 points? Perhaps it’s because the Broncos were outgained by a combined 323 yards in those three wins. They’re also traveling for the third time in four weeks and will not have Emmanuel Sanders or Chris Harris, key players on offense and defense, respectively. This feels like a trap game.
