Texans vs. Colts Spread Prediction
The Indianapolis Colts were shut out last weekend in Jacksonville and will have their work cut out for them on Sunday when they visit the hottest team in the NFL, the Houston Texans. Will the Colts spring an upset?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Texans are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Colts. The total, meanwhile, sits at 50 points. As of this writing, 63% of the public betting tickets are on the Texans to cover the point spread.
Indianapolis Colts
Colts coach Frank Reich said he's "somewhat optimistic" T.Y. Hilton (questionable, shoulder) will play Week 14 against the Texans. It's not a ringing endorsement and Colts team reporter Andrew Walker confirmed the wideout will be a game-time decision. Hilton resumed practicing on Friday, giving him at least a shot to suit up against Houston. The 29-year-old impressed with 115 yards on four catches when he faced the Texans earlier this year. Hilton will be a WR2 if he gets the green light.
Houston Texans
Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (questionable, neck/shoulder) is expected to play in Week 14 against the Colts. Joseph missed the second half of last week's win but this isn't a surprise after he practiced on a limited basis. His presence is good news for the Texans, who play a Colts offense that's down multiple starters. Joseph has been PFF's No. 12-rated corner through the first 13 weeks.
NFL Betting Trends
Indianapolis
The Colts are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games played in the month of December and are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 AFC South matchups.
Houston
The Texans have dropped seven of their last eight games against the spread in the month of September. That said, they’re 5-1 against the number in their last six games overall.
Prediction
The Colts are coming off a dismal offensive performance last Sunday in Jacksonville but Andrew Luck and Co. have been good all year so I expect a rebound. Indy is 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five trips to Houston and is 7-3-2 against the number in its last 12 games versus the Texans overall. Speaking of Bill O’Brien’s squad, at some point they’re going to be tripped up. They’ve had plenty of close calls during their winning streak and just like the Saints last Thursday night in Dallas, I expect their next loss to be somewhat of a surprise. Even if the Colts don’t win outright, I like them to cover.
NFL Week 14 Prediction: Indianapolis Colts +4.5
