Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Giants are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Redskins. The total, meanwhile, sits at 41 points. As of this writing, 70% of the public betting tickets are on the Giants to cover the point spread.
New York Giants
Eli Manning completed 19-of-35 passes for 170 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Giants' Week 13 win over the Bears. Manning was being harassed by the Bears' pass rush much of the day but was also terrible even when he did have time to throw, missing receivers. His interception was thrown right to CB Kyle Fuller. Manning's score was a blind heave into the air from the on-yard line in the face of pressure, and a wide-open Odell Beckham was able to run under it in the end zone. Manning is a bottom-five fantasy option heading into a road date against the Redskins in Week 14.
Washington Redskins
Adrian Peterson rushed nine times for 98 yards and one touchdown in the Redskins' 28-13, Week 13 loss to the Eagles on Monday night. He wasn't targeted in the passing game. Peterson scored a 90-yard touchdown on a handoff from Mark Sanchez on Sanchez's first snap of the game after replacing Colt McCoy following a broken fibula. Peterson did nothing on the rest of his touches. The nine carries tied an eight-game-low. Peterson will be faced with stacked boxes the rest of the way with Mark Sanchez at quarterback. Blowouts will be almost certain. Peterson will be a very risky RB2 the final month.
