Falcons vs. Bucs Free Pick
NFC South rivals that still have playoff aspirations this season will square off at Raymond James Stadium when the Bucs host the Falcons at 1:00PM ET.
There's no reason to trust Atlanta. The Falcons have lost four straight games and five of their last six. They've also failed to cover in seven consecutive games and held a player's only meeting earlier in the week, which is usually a last-ditch effort for teams that are in freefalls (which is what Atlanta is in right now). Matt Ryan is also having his worst season as a pro and the Bucs already beaten the Falcons once this season.
But go back to that game at the Georgia Dome on November 1. The Falcons out-gained the Bucs 496 to 290, gained seven more first-downs and held onto the ball for nearly nine more minutes than Tampa. The problem? They turned the ball over four times in a 23-20 loss in overtime.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu, this game is currently a pick'em after the Falcons opened as 2.5-point underdogs. Even though they'll still be mathematically alive with a loss, this is realistically Atlanta's last-ditch effort to put together a real playoff push. And with Gerald McCoy (hand) doubtful and Jacquies Smith (hamstring) ruled out, perhaps Ryan can still salvage his season with a big performance.
