Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Spin

Dalvin Cook rushed 11 times for 26 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' Week 11 win over the Broncos, adding five receptions for 31 additional yards. With the Vikings shockingly falling behind 20-0 before the break, the running game was never established. Cook did manage to save some face with his touchdown, but the 57 yards from scrimmage were his second fewest of the season. He now gets a well timed bye week before returning for a Week 13 road date with the Seahawks.

Seattle Seahawks Fantasy Spin

Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney is dealing with a core muscle injury and could eventually require surgery. For now, Clowney is going to try to get back on the field this season. He is expected to get in a limited practice on Friday. "Not as this moment I don’t, which is a good thing," was Clowney's response when asked if he needs an operation. Clowney's ever-tenuous health has once again become an issue following a truly dominant Week 11 performance. His Week 13 status remains uncertain after he missed last Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Prediction

This matchup reminds me of the Vikings-Cowboys Sunday Night Football game a few weeks back. I took Dallas, as did plenty of public bettors, and then watched as Minnesota QB Kirk Cousins quelled the narrative that he can’t perform in prime time. The Vikings are on the road and are even catching the same number (+3) as they did versus the Cowboys. In that game, Cousins didn’t out-play Dak Prescott, but he did more than enough against a struggling Dallas secondary to lead the Vikings to victory. With Adam Thielen practicing, the Vikings could be near full strength for the first time in over a month. I like the Vikings in this matchup, especially versus a Seattle team that feels a tad overrated. They beat the mistake-prone 49ers on MNF three weeks ago, had their bye and then took advantage of a banged-up Eagles team. This isn’t to say they haven’t earned their 9-2 record. I just see good value in the 8-3 Vikings catching a field goal in what should be a close game throughout.
