NFL Week 13 Injury Report
The NFL Injury Report for Week 13 has a lot of big names and regulars no longer available for their teams. Here’s a closer look at the latest heading into today’s action.
Hunt released by Chiefs
While not an injury, the biggest news of the NFL Week is the Kansas City Chiefs releasing running back Kareem Hunt after a video was released by TMZ showing him in a physical altercation with a women last February. The Chiefs are out West today for a 4:05PM ET meeting with the Oakland Raiders. According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Chiefs are still heavily favored in this game, as they are getting odds of -14 points against the Raiders. Hunt was having a big year for KC, as he had rushed for 824 yards and seven touchdowns while catching 26 passes for 378 yards and seven more scores. With the second-year RB gone, Spencer Ware steps into the starting role. Ware has 124 rushing yards this season.
Dalton on IR, Green expected back
The Cincinnati Bengals will be without starting quarterback Andy Dalton for the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in his right thumb. With Dalton out, Jeff Driskel gets the start for the Bengals as they play host to the Denver Broncos today at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Bengals as a 5-point underdog at home against the surging Broncos. Dalton has thrown for 2,566 yards and 21 touchdowns on the year while Driskel has 239 passing yards with just one score. Driskel will get leading receiver A.J. Green back for this game. He has been out since Oct. 28 with a toe injury. Green has 45 receptions for 687 yards and six touchdowns this year.
Diggs questionable for Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings could be without one of their top offensive players today when they hit the road to face the New England Patriots at 4:25PM ET. Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs is battling a knee injury and has been unavailable or limited in practice all week. Oddsmakers are listing the Patriots as a 5-point favorite at home for this game. Despite the practice limitations, Diggs has insisted he will play today, but still carries a questionable tag heading into the afternoon. Diggs is second on the team in receiving this year, catching 79 passes for 790 yards and six touchdowns.
