Redskins vs. Panthers Total Prediction
Oddsmakers are expecting a low-scoring game in Charlotte on Sunday, where the Panthers will host the Redskins at 1:00 p.m. ET. With the over/under currently sitting at 39.5 points, what’s the best play for bettors when it comes to the total?

Washington Redskins Fantasy Spin
Coach Bill Callahan said Dwayne Haskins has a "slight wrist injury." It doesn't sound like the injury will impact Haskins' availability for the Redskins' Week 13 matchup against the Panthers. It's tough to get behind literally anybody in the offense as an exciting fantasy option. The Redskins haven't reached 20 points since Week 2.
Carolina Panthers Fantasy Spin
Kyle Allen completed 23-of-36 attempts for 256 yards and three touchdowns in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Saints. It was a strong performance for Allen after last week's four-interception game, and he gave the Panthers a chance to take the lead with two minutes left on the clock, yet was foiled by a short missed kick by Joey Slye. Allen hit a beautiful deep shot to D.J. Moore for a 52-yard score and saw another endzone shot draw a defensive pass interference. He did take four sacks, but the Panthers dealt with multiple offensive line injuries and Allen calmly dealt with pressure on multiple occasions. We expect Allen to hold down the starting job for the rest of the season, but he surely will not be the Panthers primary plan for 2020.
NFL Betting Trends
Washington
The under is 10-2 in the Redskins’ last 12 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
Carolina
The under is 20-9 in the Panthers’ last 29 home games versus an opponent with a losing record on the road.
Prediction
As of Friday, 14mph winds are in Charlotte’s forecast on Sunday, which will make it difficult to throw the ball. Not that Washington has been efficient in that area with rookie Dwayne Haskins under center. The Redskins’ game plan this weekend will likely be to keep the ball on the ground, which also makes sense for the Panthers. Why put the game in anyone else’s hands if you have Christian McCaffrey? With the clock running consistently, I like the under, which is 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings between these two teams. The under is also 4-0 in the Redskins’ last four road games and is 7-1 in their last eight games overall.
NFL Week 13 Prediction: Redskins/Panthers UNDER 39.5
