Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Texans are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Titans. The total, meanwhile, sits at 42 points. As of this writing, 62% of the public betting tickets are on the Texans to cover the point spread.
Tennessee Titans
Taywan Taylor (foot) is questionable for Week 12 against the Texans. Taylor was limited all week. He'll likely be a game-time decision but should return this week. Taylor will slot in behind Corey Davis and Tajae Sharpe…Also, Marcus Mariota (neck) will start Monday night's game against the Texans. The Titans removed Mariota from the injury report after two straight full practices. Mariota's neck injury was never expected to keep him out, but he may not be 100 percent. He's our No. 24 ranked quarterback for Week 12.
Houston Texans
Texans coach Bill O'Brien blames himself for Demaryius Thomas' slow start. Thomas saw three quick targets against his former team in Week 9, but he has been blanked since. "I have to do a better job of getting him more involved," O'Brien said. "He’s working hard, he’s a good pro and we need to do a better job of getting him the ball a little more." Despite these promising comments, it will be tough to trust Thomas in fantasy lineups this week.
NFL Betting Trends
Tennessee
The Titans are just 19-43-3 against the spread in their last 66 conference matchups.
Houston
The Texans are 2-7 against the spread in their last nine games coming off an ATS loss.
Prediction
The Titans have been a poor bet in this series while posting a 4-10-1 ATS record in their last 15 games versus the Texans. They’re also winless at the betting window in their last four games in Houston and the home team is 5-0 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams. Finally, the favorite has also been profitable, covering in seven of the last night meetings between these two teams.
NFL Week 12 Prediction: Houston Texans -3 (buy the hook)
