Broncos vs. Steelers Spread Prediction

Denver Broncos vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 11/25/18 Week 12 Predictions

The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled a rabbit out of a hat a week ago in Jacksonville and will look to keep their winning streak alive on Sunday when they visit the Denver Broncos at 4:25 p.m. ET. Are the Steelers a safe bet laying only a field goal today?

Game Snapshot

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Steelers are 3-point favorites to beat the Broncos. The total, meanwhile, sits at 47.5 points. As of this writing, 66% of the public betting tickets are on the Steelers to cover the point spread.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger completed 27-of-47 passes for 314 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Jaguars. Roethlisberger also added the game-winning 1-yard touchdown run with five seconds left to give the Steelers a come from behind victory after being behind 16-0 with 2:09 left in the third quarter. Things got off to a disastrous start as Roethlisberger had just 53 passing yards at the half with two interceptions. He found Antonio Brown on a 78-yard busted coverage to get the Steelers on the board and then added an 11-yard score to Vance McDonald late in the fourth quarter. Roethlisberger will be a QB1 option next week on the road in Denver.

Denver Broncos

Case Keenum completed 19-of-32 passes for 205 yards Sunday in the Broncos’ Week 11 victory over the Chargers. Keenum faced pressure from Joey Bosa all day, but was never sacked. The 30-year-old got off to a sluggish start, completing just nine of 17 throws for 56 scoreless yards in the first half. Keenum found a little more daylight after halftime, however, reviving Emmanuel Sanders after he was invisible for much of the first three quarters. The first-year Bronco was money on the final drive, converting five of six passes (the lone incompletion came when he spiked it to stop the clock with three seconds remaining) for 86 yards as the Broncos walked it off on a game-winning field goal by Brandon McManus. Keenum and the 4-6 Broncos host Pittsburgh in Week 12.

NFL Betting Trends

Pittsburgh

The Steelers are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four road games.

Denver

The Broncos are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six home games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games played in the month of November.

Prediction

The Steelers were fortunate to escape last week with a win and bettors that nabbed them at -4 were lucky to push. That said, I expect Big Ben and Co. to have an easier time covering today. This Denver team isn’t very good despite upsetting the Chargers a week ago in L.A. The Bolts were caught flat-footed and laid an egg after racking up win after win for over a month. The Steelers got their scare last week so they should be focused for all four quarters today. It’s never easy to win in Denver but I’m taking a legitimate Super Bowl contender only laying a field goal against a Broncos team that will likely fire their head coach in a month.
