Panthers vs. Seahawks Spread Pick
The Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers both remain in the playoff mix in the NFC. Will the Seahawks avoid falling behind the Panthers but multiple games with an upset victory Sunday in Charlotte?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Panthers are 3-point favorites to beat the Seahawks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 46.5 points. As of this writing, 55% of the public betting tickets are on the Seahawks to cover the point spread.
Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Doug Baldwin (questionable, groin) is a game-time decision for Week 12 against the Panthers. It's not a great sign for Baldwin, who didn't practice all week. Baldwin is working through a setback with the same groin injury he dealt with earlier this year. It'd be a surprise if he plays, but the Seahawks will take him up to pre-game warmups. We'll know Baldwin's status early Sunday.
Carolina Panthers
Devin Funchess (back) is doubtful for Week 12 against the Seahawks. Funchess missed practice throughout the week, all but ensuring he's sidelined Sunday in Seattle. Coach Ron Rivera mentioned he felt "pretty confident" Torrey Smith (knee, questionable) would be back in the lineup. Funchess' absence still leaves a direct path for rookie D.J. Moore to stay on the field, with Curtis Samuel continuing to mix in behind him. Moore is a low-end WR3 in this rough matchup.
NFL Betting Trends
Seattle
The Seahawks are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six games and are 7-3-2 against the number in their last 12 road games.
Carolina
The Panthers have covered eight of 10 at home and six of seven coming off a loss.
Prediction
The Panthers run defense has been solid this season but Kerryon Johnson of the Lions was having a big day against Carolina’s front seven a week ago before exiting the game in the third quarter due to a knee injury. The Seahawks own the top rushing attack in the NFL and they’ll certainly look to exploit the Panthers run defense issues today. If the underrated Seattle defense can keep from giving up big plays to Cam Newton and the Seahawks can establish their ground game, I like Seattle to at least keep it within a field goal.
