Public Betting Trends
According to our NFL Football Public Betting Chart page, the Lions are receiving 74% of the betting tickets from online sportsbooks.
Detroit Lions Fantasy Spin
T.J. Hockenson (shoulder) was downgraded to questionable for Week 12 against the Redskins. It's pretty rare to be added to the injury report this late into the week, so Hockenson's pre-game warmups are definitely worth monitoring tomorrow morning. Hockenson has been a low-volume TE2 in fantasy since a huge NFL debut against the Cardinals in Week 1. With Matthew Stafford out indefinitely, there are better streaming options than Hockenson, especially if he's playing through an injury.
Washington Redskins Fantasy Spin
Adrian Peterson (toe) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Lions. Peterson and Derrius Guice are splitting early-down work, while Wendell Smallwood is functioning as the offense's pass-down back as long as Chris Thompson (toe, questionable) remains sidelined. This backfield is a complete mess in a low-upside offense. Treat Peterson as a low-end RB4 at best if active Sunday
NFL Betting Trends
Detroit
The Lions are winless at the betting window in their last five games overall and are 3-12 against the number in their last 12 games when playing the 12th game of as season.
Washington
The Redskins are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games versus NFC opponents and are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games coming off a double-digit loss at home.
Prediction
Check out these ATS trends: The Redskins are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven home games, are 2-7 against the number in their last nine games overall and are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games coming off a loss. The Redskins will continue to battle the Bengals for the No. 1 overall pick and with the way Dwayne Haskins has looked in limited action, I’m not backing Washington. Jeff Driskel has actually been component the past two weeks and has some decent weapons to throw to in the passing game. There’s little to know redeeming qualities for Washington right now.
NFL Week 12 Prediction: Detroit Lions -3.5
