Cardinals vs. Falcons Pick
Will Sunday's game between the struggling Cardinals and Falcons be high-scoring at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Falcons are now 4-point home favorites versus the Cardinals after opening as a 3-point favorite. As for the total, the number opened at 51 and has been bet down to 50.5 at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.

The Cardinals enter Sunday's game somewhat reeling after winning just one game in their last four contests. That lone victory was a narrow 23-20 win over the last-place 49ers as a 13.5-point favorite. For the season, the Cardinals are 4-5-1 straight up and just 3-7 against the spread. They're also just 1-3 against the number in their four road games this year.
The Falcons had their bye last week, which was good to get injured players Tevin Coleman and Desmond Trufant back. In their last game, the Falcons lost 24-15 in Philadelphia as a 2-point underdog but had won back-to-back games before that defeat. The Falcons are 6-4 on the year and are currently in first place in the NFC South, and have covered in six of their 10 games this season. Where they've struggled, ironically, is at home, where they are just 1-3 at the betting window compared to 5-1 ATS on the road.

OUR PREDICTION: This is a bad matchup for the Falcons in the sense that the Cardinals can run the ball with David Johnson, win the time of possession battle and keep Matt Ryan on the sidelines. It's the same formula the Eagles used to beat the Falcons two weeks ago and if Bruce Arians remains patient and doesn't have an ineffective Carson Palmer chuck the ball all over the Georgia Dome on Sunday, the game plan should work. If Johnson is effective against a hapless Atlanta run defense, then this game will fall well under the total, regardless of how explosive the Falcons' offense has been this season. Don't forget Atlanta scored only 15 points in that loss to Philadelphia, so perhaps it's time for the Falcons' annual collapse as well.
